OK, without getting too deep into this.
The lag is SOOOO small, it's ridiculous that such a big deal is made about it. I've had this mixer since the first month it came out, and the only reason I even know about the upfader lag is because people have mentioned it on messageboards recently. For mixing, it is effectively not even there. The ONLY time you will notice the upfader delay is if you are a hardcore turntablist that cuts with the upfaders....which is rare, typically you use the crossfader for that sort of thing. As a trance/house/edm dj you will never notice this lag.
So if you're in the market for a scratch mixer, and you use the upfaders to cut, and you're good, then I'd look for another mixer. For any other purpose...there is no lag. :tongue2 |
All you're saying is that it isn't there to the naked eye, i dont think anyone would want to invest in something knowing that a flaw is there, rather than just brushing it off saying "oh well I won't notice it". pffffffffft I don't freakin think so. |

When it has a lot of features no other mixer in this price range has, it has superb sound quality, etc...and there's a "flaw" that will only be there for a group of people that this mixer isn't even really marketed towards (the hardcore, professional turntablist)....I think they would. I would.
You have obviously never used this mixer. Even though I know about the lag, I still can't hear it, no matter what I do. And I actually do dabble around in turntablism. If the lag is there, it's far, far less than a millisecond, because I would hear it otherwise. It's not like the old crossfader lag...that was actually a problem. |

i see both points of view and i think it all comes down to the individual. some people are perfectionist of sorts and that minor fader lag would bug the hell out of them. some people, thats the last thing they'll care about considering what the mixer offers. its solely a personal taste so lets get back to the idea of this post. POST SOME PICS OF YOUR SETUP BITCHES!!!!!!!!

| i never said it was a bad mixer, or that it had less than superb quality. im saying i dont think anyone would want to invest thier money on a flawed product when there are other great mixers out there without an "officially released notice" of a flaw. You can have an 06 Corvette with a dent or ding on the side, its still fast and performs superbly and still looks awesome, but it still has a dent know what mean? |

sorry, your analogy doesn't work. Your "dent" would be in a place that everybody can see. Your analogy would would fit more if the insigificant dent was located somewhere in the undercarraige where only a specialzed mechinic would find. |

It might be noticable to the driver though, so maybe a new Corvette with a fuel guage that's always a little off, or some minor interior problem like that. If the driver finds out the problem is there and it becomes noticable to them, they can always compensate for it by adjusting themselves to deal with it. ;) |
