News update about my burnt house troubles. Just on Friday we got back from civil court from suing pants off the kids parents. In end they had pay $125,000 price of house + $50,000 worth of upgrades and repairs we did before we going move in. They also had pay all legal fees and I didn't press with pain and suffering bit. In the end the judge said no way getting around paying by going bankrupt so they pissed because where going try it and all just to not pay it because they where in little bit of finical pickle.
So they paid lawyer fees and judge made em pay 50,000 down before they left courtroom. So atleast I got money back from new carpet, painting, new roofing, new kitchen cabinets and my deluxe studio room. Because I spent close to $10,000 just alone on that studio room. So rest money is being paid $400 dollars a month. In the end I be above $85,000 after I recoup down payment.
So I'm in good mood here now for once. |

If you don't mind me asking, what happened? I saw your other post, but searched back on this thread and couldn't find where you put up what happened.

Progress Ent. to your question it way back about 12 or more pages the original because it was last year some time. But here is the low down from the start to last post.
Me and wife purchased a new house we had lot work to make feel like home then apartment we in. Will long time ago I posted pictures of my new studio in works that is about 75% done when posted the picture here. When me and my best friend from high school a construction man was done with studio we moved on to last project and that was new kitchen cabinets. Just as we finished that project we where getting ready to move in. After we painted the rooms, new carpet/tile, new roof, kitchen cabinets and studio to get moving point.
We had planned a weekend move when the problem came about. When we purchased the house we where warned by previous owners about the neighbors kid and his problem. But that didn't deter use because we fell in love with the house and that was going be first house together. The kids parent went out for the night they left there 8 year old unattended who has fire bug mind. He proceed to play with matches and gas can full of gas started a fire that burnt close 75% of our new home we about move into. Lost my studio in process. No damage was done to there house. I was at a house party for my best customer a rich kid who was 14 that I played over 12 gigs for him when it happened. When I got home I got word from my wife about it because she was in tears over it.
Form there the kids parents started blame use for not watching our house and there kid. So we pissed as hell because that. Shortly after that the kid was sent to see juvenile judge and was sentenced to juv hall for 2 years with 1 year suspended as long he completed classes for his fire bug and stay in good behavior with 3 years probation after that. While his parent was sentenced the to about 300 hour community service. At one point the kid escaped juv hall and was found at gas station with a full can gas and matches and sent back to juv hall to spend his whole 2 year term.
Then the 2 insurance companies was trying make a deal but in end we sued for money because they couldn't agree on settlement. So now you are up to date Progress Ent. and all because you saw last post I hope before this I hope. |

| Damn, that sucks. At least you got something back, although it's not always easy to recover from a fire. |
