Yeah it does kind of suck. I *do* have speakers though, just not hooked up. Like I said I live in an apartment. Most of my neighbors are jerks and complain even if I turn the TV up too loud (seriously, they'll bang on the walls). |
Movvvvee out!
C'mon man, that gear cost way more than it cost to get a decent living arrangement. |

| Dude you can listen to your speakers fairly loud during the day, until like 10pm. The dumb s have no right to bitch then, if they call the cops be like officer i don't know what those old farts are talking about |

Thought I'd post some pics now that I have updated my setup with some new stuff :D
New stuff:
New desk (Thanks IKEA!!)
New headphones (Sennheiser HD-25)
New mixer (Pioneer DJM-800)

Upcoming plans!
Find a external soundcard so I can hook up my laptop to the mixer. Any suggestions on what card I should get? |
Ideally you would get a soundcart that has 2 spdif outs (4 channels/2 stereo channels) and one spdif in so that all connections stay digital and the signal stays clean until it reaches the speakers.
Although this wouldn't be expensive to make I haven't seen any soundcard like that!
If you are interested in sound quality get an the RME soundcard with the rca I/O.
You would be converting digital to analog back and forth but the convertors are very good!
Techno DJ producers like Chris Liebing and speedy J use these and they sound great!
They are not cheap ($500) but suggest this judjing from judjing from your setup.
If you are concerned with budget I would suggest an m-audio audiophile.
They are cheap - great value for money and for all dj purposes they will get the job done.
They also have spdif in to record via the mixer. |
