haha that was the pair i started out with. my uncle gave me those turntables when i first started. he had them since the late 80's early 90's. the rca cables were messed up on them when i had them because sound only came out of the left channel. they are in heavy need of maintenance. well now that i have my new equipment, my uncle wants his back so he could service them and keep them for old times sake i guess. if they were in working condition hell yeah i'd connect all 4 and have a fun time. haha. so no they arent for sale. haha. their temporary home is under my table but they are going back to my uncle. |

But What for 1 CDJ 1000 and 1 CDJ 800:conf: |
I used to have two 1000's but I sold one because I barely ever played cds. This past year I aquired a $500 store credit with Sam Ash so I figured get another cd player again, but def didn't need two cdj1000's. |

nice set up, but i think you get yourself a better/new table to hold everything up. it's sagging in the middle. atfirst i thought it was barrel distortion on you camera, but the table IS sagging. even your speakers are crooked. |

man that would do my head in trying to mix with that arrangement.. :p Surely you can make better usage of the space. Is there no way of having the 2 decks in battle mode and having the cdj's up on shelving? You could cut that rack in half and use that to support a flat piece of mdf or something and wall mount the speakers if possible although I must admit they look bit big for that amount of space..
Also I know a guy who mixes in his headphones at night so he doesnt use his speakers. I used to do it aswell in traktor. |

Got a Powerbook last week, and decided to use Ableton to sample (not mix, so all of you anti-Ableton kids can stfu now :p). My mixer is closer to me now, so my back shouldn't hurt as much...

| i have a question for all you mk5 guys....why would you purchase the mk5 over the m3d or the mk2? the only difference that comes to mind is the brake speed adjust which isn't necessary for mixing trance |

Well the M3D isn't available new, so unless you are looking to purchase used decks, that's out of the picture.
The M3D and MK5 have a pitch reset button, rather than the click in the pitch slider at the "zero" mark on the MK2. Many people have complained about the click as when the pitch slider is in that "click hole", quartz lock on the deck turns on and can mess with your mixing.
The MK5 also has an LED instead of a regular lightbulb for the popup light.
Other than that, all 3 are very similar.

I'd say you need to get a smaller table to put on the right for that other 800. It looks odd being wayyyy in the back. |

Indeed it does, but truth be told I haven't played around with the sampler very much. Its a great combination with the Denon Mixer though, and pretty portable if you have a rack. |
