Two good things:
1) It gets the needles out of the way, so you don't hit them if you're scratching or doing other turntablistic endeavors.
2) It takes up less room across.
Two bad things:
1) It takes up more room vertically.
2) Sometimes wiring can be an issue since it usually comes out of the back, which is now the left side since they're rotated, so on the right tt you can have issues with the mixer and the wiring being in the same place.
Personally, I do like to scratch it up every now and then, plus the only way it'll fit is battle style...so the choice was pretty easy. |

The main negative for mixing, is that the tonearm gets in the way of the pitch slider. Thats why I don't do it..

I guess so...but at least with my tables that's never a problem . I've never hit the tonearm when i was going for the pitch slider or anything. But..that's just me/my turntables. |

Actually.....
My roommate has a vmx300. it's fine...pretty similar to the gemini when you have it all the way to sharp curve. |
