So they wrapped up a lot of intermediate questions, and managed to not leave us with a lot of new ones.
The new questions I can come up with are
1. Why does everyone have to go back? (Although this question falls under the main question of "wtf is the island?")
2. What horrible things happened after they left? |

the horrible things must have been when ben destroyed the machine when he put those metal items inside when he was not supposed to do it. even though he wanted to prevent people from using it again, he wanted to destroy it, not thinking about the after effects would happen on the island without the machine. |

This show is straight up, bananas!
Did the Dharma scientist say the island sits on top of a chunk of anti-matter? Because.......there's something impossible about that. Although, it might explain how Ben gets his money and why the island is sought after:

Cost
Antimatter is said to be the most expensive substance in existence, with an estimated cost of $300 billion per milligram. |
It SHOULD be impossible because when matter and anti-matter have contact, they instantaneously destroy each other.
Ugh, my head is going to hurt. |

So seriously then.
I've never watched it, but everyone goes nuts over it. But, it's been made a huge point of that it doesn't tie up all the questions. I'm afraid this will piss me off.
Is it actually worth me going and buying, or would you consider it "Good to watch on TV, but I wouldn't pay money to watch it"? |

He put the metal inside the machine so it would damage the back wall, so that he could get to the area where the thing to move the island is. I don't think that machine itself really mattered. |

Noooo... he did that to blow a hole through the back wall. Did you not see what he climbed through? |

| Maybe the dead will come back to life when back on the island. |

Well, it is worth the money, but I prefer being a cheap bastard and getting it through borrowed dvd's from my friends, or through torrents. Watching random episodes on TV is useless, because you need to watch all the episodes in sequence from the beginning to make any sense of what's going on.
So stop ing around and go watch it for once.

As for this finale, I thought it was really lame the way the workers from the freighter were all just casually doing their stuff, while there's a bomb ready to go off and the other guys were taking off in an helicopter, in absolute desperation to hurry up.
Decent finale overall, a bit rushed and predictable since we already knew the outcome, the O6 would be rescued and the island would most likely be moved indeed, but still some interesting moments, like finally seeing the Orchid station, and what's below it! |

| daydreamer |
they don't know where they are going with the show
and if they do
they are just giving us a bunch of BS to fulfill the contract of seasons they have with ABC,
overall meh
still...way better than any other show on American TV |
