The time traveling is making more and more sense with each episode. With Charlotte's revelation to Dan it's almost perfectly clear now that time in Lost is non linear and that past, present, and future are simultaneous. |

i made a bet with a friend of mine as to how jin would come back, safe to say he lost 100$.
i pretty much messaged him the entire convo ben and sun would have, a week before the episode, , almost exact words too. maybe i'm from the island, i need to go back |

No, it was never actually confirmed and I sincerely doubt that they are one and the same.

My guess.
Smoke monster is either from the distant past or future, it was trapped or worshipped by the natives (guys who built the well, ruins etc). They got killed by the Dahama guys and it got released. |

That's a really original theory. I think that's unlikely (I think it's a security system just like the crazy french dude said), but I like it. |
