I don't know...I didn't like this one as much as I thought I would. There's some very cheesy going on that I don't like.
And Richard better not be dead. |

i have a feeling the only person who can break richards immortality is jacob and or jacob's replacement. everyone on that island has come and died at some point except him which means he can't be killed by traditional means or MiB.
i think linus purposely tried to kill widemore before he told MiB everything and that linus is basically getting all the answers out of Locke now that Locke trusts him . the writers definitely tried to throw a twist with Ben, who might actually replace MiB. Did anyone else get that assertion? I think Ben in the end will make the sacrifice and go down the water/light tunnel while fighting w/ MiB and it starts all over again.

According to their rules Richard can't be killed, but the writer/producers can write a character off anytime they see fit.
It wasn't surprise that Jack volunteered to replace Jacob, they've been leading up to this for a while now. The light house scene, he has been saying the last few episodes, he's not leaving, and the sub scene.
As far as the ending its hard to guess what the writers will do. I could see Ben taking his place or doing something to take out Flocke at the last minute. They're doing the 180 thing and its hard to tell whether Ben will be good or bad. Ben has gone from good to bad and back a bunch of times. |

| I think Ben is good. He just wants to learn how to defeat Locke. Who knows though. Yeah, the Jack thing wasn't a surprise at all. |

I think Sawyer will be the new Monster, he seemed jealous/annoyed by Jack's job promotion. |

yah, that's more or less what i was trying to say. he knew locke was going to kill widemore so he just jumped in to gain trust and find out how MiB can be stopped.
i still don't get how desmond is the failsafe... is he the failsafe because he can go back in time or an alternative universe and make sure MIB never gets off the island? :conf: |

In order for MIB to get off the island he has to kill all the candidates, but even if he does they still exist in the side ways reality, in which desmond can get them to remember and then convince them to return to the island if necessary to defeat MIB. I sure they will have to do this otherwise why would they go to all that effort to do a sideways lost. |

Are you serious? He's not jealous at all. He didn't want the job at all. He wants off the ing island. |

agreed. in addition you could see in so many words he admitted he was wrong and was to blame for not listening to Jack on the sub. He is now motivated to make up for what he did. its looking like each of the remaining candidates are going to have too work together to defeat MIB. |

i kinda get it... i feel more like Desmond is acting how Jacob was first portrayed, basically causing a series of chain events to land people on the island (ie jacob asking saiyed for directions, jack w/ the candy machine, etc). like regardless of any sideways reality it's desmond's job to make sure those same people end up on the island so the same outcome always comes true (aka MiB always gets defeated ??) |
