I don't know if I'd go that far. I don't want Hurley, Sun, Jin, Miles, Frank, or Richard to die. Beyond that, everybody else can die. |
well as far as oceanic 6 go, hurley and ya i'll agree on jin, but sun kind of annoys me.
"we're going to the rock on the cliff"
"will this rock tell us how to find jin?"
and richard definitely, one of the characters im highly excited to see talked more about |

Hurley will be the last one to die. The producers absolutely love him, they let the audience speak and scratch their heads through him, he's their vehicle for the show's inherent self-irony and a constant reminder of that sort of "it's all gonna be good" feeling. |

from the black n white article
| quote: | | When the raft launches, Sawyer is wearing a black shirt, Jin is wearing a white shirt, and Michael is wearing a red shirt. ("Exodus, Part 1") |
from the redshirt article (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Redshirt):
| quote: | | BOONE: Red shirt. LOCKE: Huh? BOONE: Ever watch Star Trek? LOCKE: Nah, not really. BOONE: The crew guys that would go down to the planet with the main guys, the captain and the guy with the pointy ears, they always wore red shirts. And they always got killed. LOCKE: Yeah? BOONE: Yeah. LOCKE: Sounds like a piss-poor captain. |

also, seeing Vincent in the 1st episode quietly watching some key characters walk into the woods reminded me SO much of Jacob. searching around, i found these interesting articles:

| I didn't fully understand the interplay between the temple leader and Sahyid. Did he try to kill him all those times because he fore saw the future but like fate you can't change its out come? |

thought the episode was ing epic :eyes:
igk: He tried to have him killed since he was suspecting Sayid was about to turn evil due to this' infection'. It seems an established pattern by now that The Others cannot directly kill/command the Losties but need to find some manipulative way of achieving their goals. Hence, his attempts to kill him via Jack/Smokey. |

| my point was Sayid wasn't infected by evil. the leader knew that he would be the one to kill him and thus the demise of the temple and then the island. so in trying to kill him he was trying to change the future and was foiled at every attempt by fate. maybe only the "chosen" are the only ones allowed to change the out come by their decisions. In hind sight they probably tried to kill him in the pool when he first came. |
