looks like he got shot in the chest, and the tumor was on his lower back. so I'd say the two are unrelated.
What's interesting is that the island wanted him to live back then when he was a kid and allowed his gunshot wound to heal, but later on it doesn't want him anymore and thus the malignant tumor. |

I now see what they were trying to do the first few episodes off island, by leaving these gaps that would be explained later by flash backs. Problem is those gaps messed up the other shows.
It was an mediocre episode but it had a funny ending with John smiling at Ben. So how you like me now bitch? :haha: |

another filler episode imo, but we're piecing the gaps right now, and getting the other roles involved, rather than just the main characters. next week's episode looks like it's going to drop the bomb on us, and get us closer to what the island really is.

| I was hoping this week's episode would be a Ben story instead it's a Kate story. We learned Sawyer told Kate to take care of his daughter before he jumped off the helicopter. We also learn that Sawyer and Kate might be responsible for Ben's coldblooded ways. And we also caught a glimpse on explaining the time travel. So all in all it's a great episode. Next week is finally Ben's story and it should be great! |

most likely next week or so, since last night's episode explained what the hell happened to Aaron, and why he wasn't on the plane with the rest of them. :D |

I liked the episode, and glad to see more questions answered instead of getting more questions on top of questions. My only gripe I guess was the cop-out with Ben losing his memory if the ancient chamber saved him with Richard Albert taking him there. It was however, and answer to Hurley's question. Why didn't Ben remember the guy that shot him as a kid.
