I tell ya what, why don't they just reveal everything in the next 2 or 3 episodes, close of opening anymore questions and as such put a stop to developing any future story lines, and just be done with the whole show. No more series. That's it...

Get a grip. It was a good opener. Awesome first scene and a few small revelations - nothing too much, nothing too little.

they're leaving us with a cliffhanger on the 5/6th episode and then it will be off the air until february :/

agreed, although it feels like the writers are improvising and don't have everything planed, just throw in some mind s to get the people hooked. It would be more interesting to watch if it was going somewhere and we had a few more answers. Why do the main characters always have to be on the defensive ?

The episode really answered some questions for me regarding Jack's Character, his ex-wife, and his behavior with Kate. Even though it was just the three of them it was one of the better acted episodes in the series, especially by Kate. Her facial expressions were very well done even if she didn't have many lines.

The way they wrapped up season 2, they could've done a better job keeping the pace of the plot, as well as developing it. Throw us a bone for s sake! Nobody here is asking them to reveal everything in the first episode, but answer some questions...and raise some new ones. Instead they did a typical Lost episode.

I realize what type of show they're trying to go for, but it's like they have 1 or 2 good episodes and the rest are garbage.

Well this week's episode was actually pretty good. Let's hope they keep this pace. Really hoping there's going to be some interesting developments between Benjamin (the "leader") and Jack.

i think kate "acted" well in her dress :happy2:

You taste like strawberries. :)

You taste like fish biscuits. :wtf:

That's a good one. The Boston Red Sox winning the World Series.

Benjamin Linus is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Interesting to note is the events that Ben chose to tell Jack - George Bush re-elected, Christopher Reeves' death and the BoSox victory. Were those really the most significant things that happened that year around that time?

Something tells me that Jack'll be dead before the end of the final season. :/

Actually i'm sick and tired of hearing about the redsox. i guess you have to live in New England to understand.

That's about right. The talk has died down, though.

Filled your daily quota with that one, IGK. :p

What I'd like to think is that Jack is going to cooperate with the Others and seemingly become one of them when in reality he'll end up showing his true hero-self while trying to save the other survivors (assuming more people get caught/people get away). Death comes to him, maybe.

In other news, what was up with that girl that was talking to Kate from behind the brush. Her face looks familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it. She knew the guy that was in the cage that tried to escape, too...

no it hasn't. every season now they're expected to go all the way. the media talks more about the sox and yanks even though the sox didn't even make it to the post season and the yanks got knocked out in the first round.

yeah the writers couldn't have made it any more obvious. i think this is jack's last season because he is getting to big for the show and will want to make the move to movies.

wasn't she danielle's daughter. she could be a plant sent by benjamin. though its hard to tell the writers have set up a bunch of other spys and one of them is bound to be not but which one?...

I used to be a fan of Jack winning over Kate but after this episode I am rooting for Sawyer. I've been a fan of Daniel Dae Kim since Angel and then 24, so I'm glad he is in this show and showing more acting talent.

I don't think Matthew Fox will leave the show any time soon. He was supposed to be killed off in the pilot episode but because of his screen presence they kept him.
