This is how a show like Lost works:

Writers come up with an idea, and figure out how the initially unanswered questions will tie together at the end when the mystery gets solved. When they start airing, the ratings go up so they write in more and more episodes with more and more unanswered questions, season after season they pile up and the mystery deepens until they lose track of their original plans and realise they can no longer resolve any of the mysteries. Eventually viewers start to realise they are being had so they stop watching. The ratings go down and the producers have to wind the show down in a season or so. They try to salvage their now-ty ratings by increasing the mystery factor even more but fail horribly. In the final couple of episodes you witness the series' tragic death throes as it flails futilely trying to disentangle itself from the bundle of knots of a plot it has begome ingulfed in, and ultimately fails. To all the loyal viewers' disappointment none of the questions are satisfactorily answered, nothing ties together and all are left feeling duped.

The End.

Sawyer owns. Glad they made his character harder, he was turning soft.

I know, I was getting kinda annoyed with him but he completely redeemed himself tonight, what a badass. Next weeks episode should rock, too.

whoa that episode rocked, last few have been ok but this one was excellent :D

I wonder if henry is in fact an other, or his story about the balloon was correct. It wouldnt suprise me if what he was saying was true, hell theres a ship in the middle of the jungle :p
But the way he looked at sayid when jack closed the door makes me think his so an other :eyespop:

another thing i noticed not too sure, but one of the military guys in the truck when freeing sayid, was kates dad coz he was holding her photo

what do the hieroglyphs mean? I'm thinking its a fail safe code to over ride self destruction sequence either that or its just an egyptian slot machine. :stongue:

Good episode 8/10.

Symbols puzzled me too, I'm sure there is some dork somewhere though that is deciphering them as we speak.

Sayid is such a badass hahaha. This episode made me hate Jack even more than normal. Why is he the leader of everyone? And why didn't Locke just knee him in the gut to get to the machine? Anyway, that hieroglyphic part was wikkid... I wish we got to see what happened. Henry's look at the end confirmed that he was an Other. I hope his involvement makes everyone turn on Jack. He lost Kate to Sawyer and now he have to settle for Analucia... loser!

Someone brought this point up before and I think it's really relevant now. Instead of the fat guy losing weight on a deserted island, they write in that he stole mayo and other food... easy deal hahaha
