, what happened the last few seconds, stupid ABC and their tricks to up the PVR(tivo).

^^ I find that nearly every channel does that.
Edit: I don't think it's intended to throw off DVR's. Just scheduling shifts.

my point was Sayid wasn't infected by evil. the leader knew that he would be the one to kill him and thus the demise of the temple and then the island. so in trying to kill him he was trying to change the future and was foiled at every attempt by fate. maybe only the "chosen" are the only ones allowed to change the out come by their decisions. In hind sight they probably tried to kill him in the pool when he first came.
they most definitely did try to kill him, that's why they were so shocked when he woke up. also, do baseballs float? anyone? stupid question, but...

Well I guess Jack should have given him the pill..

im naming my kid sayid. , he's badass

they weren't trying to make sayid stay dead when they drowned him. (1:08 was the time underwater btw) they knew that jacob or nemesis claim dead people when they die on the island and through that were hoping jacob would get sayid, but they didnt know he was dead and nemesis revived sayid instead and slowly took hold of him.
also, baseballs have 108 stitches ;D
my question is why kate is with the dark side now...:wtf:
also lol @ Jacob in Untangled
Scottaculous
Dogen is pretty badass too. Now I know Japanese ninja > Iraqi ninja. I'm wondering how Dogen could protect the temple against Smokie.

I don't think Kate is with the darkside. I think she walked out of the temple, saw everyone dead and the only people there are with Fake Locke, Sayid and Claire so she's left with little choice.

getting annoyed with this season.. to hear them talk about things like good and evil outright rather than through subtle symbolism is kind of lame. some scenes just aren't on par with the previous seasons' consistent quality ... this episode some of the dialogue between sayid and dogen was cringeworthy, i also facepalmed when sayid does an extravagant martial arts move on his brother for waking him up then they just start conversing normally. enjoying it the same way star wars fans enjoyed the prequels, not remotely enjoyable in itself but serves as jerkoff material for the series fans (maybe star wars is an extreme example, and it's more forgivable to do this in a tv series i suppose)
and more thoughts on the alternate world... seems like in the end it's just the "happy ending" that will be pieced together through this season. looks like each character overcomes some soap opera drama they couldn't deal with in the original timeline... jack gets over his daddy issues by becoming a good one, locke accepts being crippled, etc... presumably next episode jin will solve some issue that lets him and sun live happily ever after in the USA. interesting how in the new universe the dharma still landed on the island before it sank, since the swing set was there... yet it's one where ben never arrived as a kid. main thing i am curious about is whether this is a world where jacob never had influence, or one that he was striving for when whatever his goal is gets completed.

Another interesting thing is that all of the Dharma houses on the island were still standing, even though they detonated a nuclear bomb on the island.

i don't think the bomb ever went off in either world, it just triggered them to time travel to the present... ben as a kid was essential to the timeline where jack wanted to blow up the bomb, but he must have never been there at all in the new timeline since he grows up to be a teacher.
