thats more likely although i'm not sure how they would pull it off. i mean how do you get your hands on 747 that quickly then crash it before search and rescue finds it? even though the producers say everything that happens can be explained scientifically, its often quiet a stretch. if you watch myth busters you'd realize that the amount of forces involved in a plane crash would kill everyone. |

Having it planned/staged before hand. Planting a crashed 747 way before the accident happened, then somehow causing the accident.
Of course, there's also the slight problem of how the hell would they be able to make the accident in such a planned way in order for people to survive. Remember that Ben seemed to be expecting the accident before hand.. when he saw the plane crashing in the sky he immediately told Ethan to mix up with the survivors.
Or maybe they weren't supposed to survive, but then again what would be the point of causing the accident and covering it? Hiding something valuable that wouldn't be destroyed with the crash?
As for "ah but it's too much a stretch", well it's Lost. There's no realistic scientifical explanation for smoke monsters who cause visions of dead people neither.
An unrelated, but very interesting question is how did that russian guy come back to life (the one with the patchy eye). I also have a theory that there's something behind Desmond letting him go.. Desmond had been there on the island for a long time and he worked "with Dharma" (albeit not by choice), sure he didn't know about the others? Maybe he's a spy like Juliette too. :wtf: |

Yah, he did. As I understand, he was annoyed everyone else was being paid more than him / not getting enough airtime (I wouldn't have complained being paid to lie around on a beach all day being paid what he got!)
And earlier on this month he was talking about doing both his new show, other films, AND in talks with producers about a return. Not sure how they'd write it in particuarly...
I hope he does come back though, 'cos he was one of the best characters in my opinion.
