He was in the third episode but the scene he was in didn't air on TV, so my bet its going to be in the DVD - thats why in this episode it seemed like he was already introduced.

Yeah, this week's show sucked, nothing really happened, but that's usual with lost. I'm really getting sick of watching 1 hour of commercials.
