ok so. jacob was a believer/controller in/of fate. and MIB was a believer/controller in/of free will.
the dharma initiative was set up to find a way to rescue humanity's inevitable demise (fate) by changing (free will) one of the valenzetti equation's numbers.
this is why the smoke monster was deemed a "security system"
he was protecting the dharma initiative because he believed they could change fate. all the while the others, under the direction of jacob, were unknowingly (thereby having no free will) trying to stop the dharma initiative and let fate run its course.
just sayin. |

So MIB is the good guy, and Jacob is the jew-commie.
now makes sense. |

I'm pretty sure I should feel this way, but Sawyer as a cop was damn hilarious.

Kind of where I'm at too. I'm sure after next week it will be reversed...again. Jacob good guy, MIB is the sob. |

| Sure, it was not "The Constant" or "Flashes Before Your Eyes" but it was a decent episode. |

well after 5 and a half seasons it's become pretty clear that this whole "good" vs "evil" thing is an illusion that the writers and directors purposefully create to with the audience. first we thought that the "others" are evil, then dharma, then ben's others, etc etc. this show has never been one to spoon-feed you the plot, who the villians are, etc. so i'm not surprised that we don't really know who the bad guy is, and i doubt we'll ever find out. it's 2 different ideas clashing.
the mainstream audience will probably hate it because they want to be told what to think, but this show has never been about that and i don't expect it to change in the final 9 episodes.
as for answering questions: there's not many questions left to be answered, and still there's 9 episodes left. if ya'll want instant gratification then go watch Grey's Anatomy or some like that. |

watched "Two for the Road" last nite.
fun episode to watch at this time
includes character connections between Christian, Ana Lucia, Sawyer, Claire, and her aunt.
also includes references to Jacob's "list" of "good" people he wanted to bring into the fold and "bad" people the others were tasked with killing. |

| I just watched the most recent episode online last night. My thoughts are as follows: Ginger hot, wouldn't it be funny if they did a CSI Lost spin off, Sawyer is handsome (i know gay bro), I'm getting tired of the reversal ploy (the bad guy one week becomes the good guy next week), the con/double cross/lying is so predictable. |

| this season has sucked major balls. the ending will surely be a letdown, but i just want the season to be over with at this point... |
