See... that doesn't make sense.
The payload still made it through, albeit late.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean?
---------------------
On a side note: Daniel's clock showed the earlier time. The freighter clock was about 31 minutes (+ 12 hrs/24 hrs/days/weeks/etc... - the latter few seem more unrealistic) late. |

I'm thinking that there are certain ways to get to and from the island where you won't suffer the time effects, or at least suffer them to the degree you'd get by going other routes. That rocket was traveling pretty fast, and it took it an extra 30 minutes to get where it was going. Think how long it would take going by boat or even helicopter if you had the same kind of delay.
If it was a relatively average to slow missile, it probably went around 600 mph/965 kph. So, that 30 minutes was an extra 300 miles/482.5 kilometers. The helicopter probably traveled (max) 135 mph/220 kph, so a 30 minute time difference for a missile is probably closer to 3 hours for a heli and a boat would have probably double that. |

| You have to go an exact way I think. Remember how he said to the pilot to take the "exact same bearing back to the ship, no matter what!"? |

| Kate is soooooooo hot. :eyespop: And she kept Claire's baby? What's the matter with Jack anyway. He loves Kate yet he keeps his distance. |

I'd guess the reason he doesn't go see her is because he's annoyed at her kidnapping the baby, or whatever she did to end up with him. Remember the baby is technically his nephew (Claire's his sister).
Bit of a lame episode overall, this one. |

Wow. Haven't thought of it that way. Really good explanation. Still... that'd mean that it's possible to travel through from any location, no?

Fixed... I think.
What's to say that Claire didn't die/wasn't killed? |

Could be. The kid could make him remember of his dead (step)sister, an issue which he still didn't get over. |

Yeah, I'm thinking that Claire is either dead or still on the island and Jack seeing Aaron makes him upset either way.
Any guesses on who the 6th and final "survivor" of the flight is going to be?
So far we have;
1. Jack
2. Hurley
3. Kate
4. Sayid
5. Aaron
6. ?
(I'm not counting Ben because even though we know he survives to the future he wasn't on the flight.) |

Aaron was born on the island, though. Would he still be considered one of the Oceanic Six if he never, technically, was on that flight? lol |

i dont think aaron should be considered a survivor, he wasnt on the plane.
but i wouldnt put it past the writers to take the "easy way" to fill up the oceanic 6 list. |
