| Holy crap that finale was awesome. Lots of nagging questions answered as well as adding a few new ones. One thing Im very curious about is what makes Walt so special and what did the others do with him. Also I wonder if there is any significance in that guys name and why they werent supposed to say it. Ill be looking forward to season 3. |

Some people are saying that one of the guys in the snow base at the end was Lenny from the mental hospital that counted all the numbers to Hurley.
The best explanation I have read is that the "hatch" was controlling an electromagnetic shield around the island so that equipment could not "see" the island. When the shield went down it allowed Penny's(Desmond's girl) employees to detect a beacon of sorts that was in Desmond's boat and thus they called her. This is because she says that she will be able to find him anywhere in the conversation in the past. I'm glad Desmond might become a regular cast member because I can see his storyline really driving the plot. I also think that her Dad might be a part of Dharma, maybe even the owner. *shrugs* |

Did they ever show what happened to Sayid after he found the fake Dharma door?
I liked seeing the Others react to when the the island was about to explode. Makes it look like although the Losties V Others is the main plot, they seem to all be fighting the island together still. |

the machinery picked up an electromagnetic disturbance, not a beacon. penny widmore knew that her dad's island was being shielded electromagnetically so she instructed the snow dudes to keep an eye out for a particular sort of change.
btw - i think desmond is likely dead [maybe he'll appear in flashbacks]. locke has been signed on to star in next season so he'll live as will eko who is popular with fans. |

We don't really know that the island'd explode.

We also assume that it was Sayid that created the black smoke trail (so there's another Sayid moment for ya, CTR). |
