| I'm confused about that guy that talked to little ben in the woods (when he was a kid). Its the same actor as one of the "others/darhma/w/e" later on. Is it the same guy? Is it supposed to be his son? Does that guy not age? |

| I think that's the same Richard. He hasn't aged, and he is what Ben calls a "native". The healing properties of the island must keep people from aging. Since people can't conceive and give birth on the island, the natives/others must recruit people to maintain their society. |

ben's from the dharma group; richard alpert is part of the "hostile/native" group. the 'hostiles' have/had a different relationship with the island. |
