But I think Jin is time travelling like the rest of them, he obviously time travelled once to get to russo's (how ever you spell it) era, so why won't it happen again?

Maybe he survived the blast on the ship and got some of the effects of "the island-move" so he is blasted into another time too. When they showed him in present-day alive and well and visiting a baby, maybe that's because he altered the course of time somehow by ending up on the island in the 70s and staying there, as opposed to Sawyer and them who are stuck in a loop back and forth. Somehow, Jin's going to know how to fix things, come back to civilization but in this alternate version of his life, he doesn't ever meet Sun!!!!!! Wow.

i think jin was drifting around in the sea for the whole time locke sawyer etc. were time travelling up until then... they tried to make him look pretty sunburned. i'm guessing he survived that long because he's not "supposed" to die yet

right now the show is really pissing me off (in a good way). i can't tell if the time travellers are shaping a new timeline, or are only doing what shaped the show's timeline as we know it... the latter makes sense since richard did visit locke as a kid, showing the original timeline was shaped by locke etc. going back in time and approaching him at the camp... and i just can't wrap my head around how this will possibly be explained, i guess :eyespop:

Catch 22? At least that's my theory on it. John Locke basically made himself the leader of the Islanders by going back in time and telling Alpert to visit him at the age of 5 (the compass that Alpert gave Locke and then Locke gave to Alpert is 1 of the items that Alpert shows young Locke when he asks him "Which item belongs to you already?" Locke doesn't pick the compass and Alpert is pissed that that visit didn't turn out the way he expect it to).

That's also why Ben came to bring Locke back in season 2 and why the Others' were so stunned when they found out that John Locke was one of the names on the passenger manifest. I can't remember which episode this was in though :-\

I wonder how Abbadon fits into all this and what motive did he have when he told Locke to go on a walkabout. It's as if he was setting all this up for Alpert (if they're on the same side) to bring Locke to the island.

I must admit the same thing, the last 5 seconds of the episode were just as great as the whole episode! :happy2:

When Charlotte revealed she lived on the island earlier, I thought she was going to reveal she was best friends with Ben when they were kids. :conf:

anyone remember that episode in season 3 when ben friended a young girl, then she suddenly disappears, and he meets Richard for the very first time.
