I don't remember Widmore ever being in a scene with the monster, but given that he was the leader of the Others for decades, I'd be surprised if he didn't have a good understanding of what the monster is, and if he hadn't run into it at some point. |

at the end the sub operator mentioned that there were people on the shore, and then widmore said something like "it doesnt matter, go ahead with the plan"
i just got the feeling that the operator mentioning that there were people on the island meant that something was gonna happen |
