How could he have brought himself to? He was in shambles and had no one left.
I'd like to think it's her based off of some of his comments but I could be wrong.

Well that was insane. Loved the finale but God I want to watch the next season now. The flashforward was such teaser. I'm so lost now :eyespop:
Much better finale than Heroes which was rather disappointing and an anticlimax. |

1. what is the meaning of desmonds "visions" ??
at first, few thought they were a way to get rescued. they believed it so much charlie sacrficed himself. while this may still be true, other possibilities for his "visions" come into play. do his visions lead him to penelope ?? do they protect the survivors ?? they may lead to rescue now, but not a safe one.
2. what effect does the flashforward have in the present state ?? we all realized when jack was talking to kate the runway it was a flashforward when he said "maybe we werent supposed to leave." while during the hike to the tower, jack showed no signs of having this flashforward. how does this effect his decision making during the present ?? we see he still made the call. is this the beginning of jack realizing he may want to stay on the island ??
3. what is behind all the killing, especially in last nights finale ?? the easiest approach is the survivor's killing in defense of themselves. then things get complicated. james killed tom after he spared 3 survivors, lying to ben. yet cyclops can kill 2 hot looking glass chicks, following orders to a leader who already decieved him. afterwards, cyclops (dont know his name) killed himself so that charlie would die. what motivation lies behind cyclops suicide ?? is he protecting a bigger picture ?? is he just a petty human getting in the last word ??
on a side note, my favorite part of last night was charlie being tied up in that chair. great acting. he knew what his fate was, even if he didnt know some code. he was just sitting there, cool as air. nothing can stop a man who knows his fate. great acting, true heroism, i hope in the end his death will mean much greater. im sure desmond will become emotionally grounded to charlies memory from now on.
