i believe what we're getting this season is what happened in the past couple of seasons where we will get big chunks of a puzzle in random order by episode, then sometime during the season the writers will put the pieces together.
solid episode nonetheless. |

Why? Good writers can plan stuff like that. And even if they didn't, they've done a good job of leaving this show wide open enough to be able to work with it down the road. |

I just started watching the 1st season again, too. SO many things now make sense and are cool to see.

i think either jacob or MIB may wind up being female re: Adam and Eve
also, that original locke saw everything that was going to happen on the island when he was 1st visited by the smoke monster (or was it jacob....maybe jacob can form into a smoke monster too, but one that shows people things instead of killing them)
however it happened, locke saw everything that was going to happen in the future and was either neutral or on jacob's side until jacob's nemesis manipulated ben into killing him and bringing him back to the island for his own ends
some other things i caught this time around so far (some already mentioned)
-jack's tattoo has the number 5, his number is 23, 2+3=5 (which is also the number of seconds he "let the fear in" during his surgery on the girl
-rose remarks that there's something "very familiar" about the noises the smoke monster makes. in one of the early episodes, locke is shown at his desk using an adding machine (the printer makes the same sound as the smoke monster) i'm assuming the smoke monster's sounds are made up of sounds relevant to some negative force in the losties lives (locke's job for instance.) (maybe just the ones that will be recruited by nemesis?) |

What twist in season 6?
I'm sure when they wrote the scene they knew that a big part of the show was going to be good vs. evil and put that there in purpose.
There are many scenes in season 1 that link to the current season.
Those writers did some crazy . The numbers are everywhere, so are black and white, and other motifs and themes.

I don't know if I'd go that far. I don't want Hurley, Sun, Jin, Miles, Frank, or Richard to die. Beyond that, everybody else can die. |

| So much time has passed between seasons and episodes I've lost the intensity I once enjoyed for the show. As a result I often don't catch the little things that the writers put in there that tie to previous seasons. I've even lost track of what year it is on the island. There's been so many time travels back and forward, flash backs and flash forwards, or parallel alternate time lines, my head is spinning. |

I don't know why some of you miserable s are still watching to be honest. It seems it's causing you more distress than enjoyment. Might be time to get a grip, have a quiet word with yourself, and then change the channel.
I will say this though - Before this season started I panned all of seasons 1-5 in just a little over a month. I really think this has contributed to my enjoyment of season 6 so far, which incidentally I think has been, and will continue to be, great. If you haven't done the same I'd suggest doing so. |
