The biggest issue I'm having with this season is that "the others" just aren't menacing anymore. Season 1 and 2 were good because the others seemed strong, scary, and evil. With this season we realize that Locke and Sayid could probably kill them all by themselves. The show is missing a strong antagonist that it used to have with "the others" and now I don't really feel a sense of danger for the island people, in fact I'm starting to be jealous of how easy their life is. Then again it might just be the pacing of the show because on the show Eco died like 4 days ago yet it seems like forever since we saw the black smoke be scary. Granted I still like the character development I just want there to be more danger and suspense.

I love this season. :)

To me, it feels like I'm watching an RPG unfold. The entire thing isn't story, obviously, but the filler is really fun!

Yah, good episode. I'm calling it now, Dharma comes back to the island at the end of the season due to Locke typing in 77.

Sayid is the man. Locke fails. He is also a closet video gaming addict.

the ep. was dope. we can now add bakhunin to the pantheon of lost-related philosophers like rousseau, locke, and hume =)

awesome episode, finally something on the dharma project, and finally more Sayid

now, someone who knows russian needs to translate what was on the note Locke was reading, and the conversation in russian

I don't remember a note... I'll have to watch again... but the conversation went basically like this:

Girl: Mikhail, do it. You know what to do.
Mikhail: No! There is another way out!
Girl: You know what to do. We can't risk it.
Mikhail: No! There is another way!

basically implying she is "bad" and he is "good" and trying to find another way out besides killing Locke... unless what he was planning is even more sinister... :eyespop:
