exactly, i didn't think it moved the plot forward at all. it just gave an answer to as to how some people came to be on the island.
i find it very interesting that the oceanic 6 was basically the first 'real' inhabitants of the island. i'm interested to see how they develop it further, i'll be pissed if it's something really lame and predictable.
and another thing i hate is how the oceanic 6 act like they don't ing know anything about the island. 'we're in 1977' "what do you mean?"
for s sake guys, you know what he means, if i was on the heli when the island moved, and all the that happened while they were there, i'd be a ing believer. it's no mystery now that the island has time traveling capabilities and it's ridiculous that the survivors still act so oblivious towards it all |

That's right...it makes no sense to YOU. But it makes complete sense with the way I see everything that's unfolding this season:p
The answer is simple, yet complicated...it's a combination of fate and course correction.
When the O6 leave the island, Sun was pregnant and had she stayed on the island she would have died giving birth to her baby. This would've happened a few weeks or months after Sawyer, Juliet, Jin, and the rest of the people that stayed on the island joined Dharma.
This means she definitely wouldn't be alive at the time Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid return to the island. The same concept applies to Ben. He was supposed to move the island and leave, which means he wasn't supposed to be around during the Losties' adventure in Dharma times.
You see, the way I understand it, the whole "The O6 MUST go back" deal was really all about course correction. They were not supposed to leave the island and should have went through the whole time traveling the people that stayed experienced and should have been living with Dharma by now. I'm pretty positive that the whole point of the story is going to be a battle between fate and free-will and everyone is going to play a part of it.

The abc.com streaming episodes only work in the US. You could find a proxy in the US but they are usually slow as and you'd end up wanting to beat the out of your computer. You can download the entire episode here:

| Woscar i give u a Oscar but in no way you can convince me that last nights episode was not lame, i guess it was just a filler, we didnt really learn anything new, most of the stuff they showed we already knew or figured it out by ourselfs |

we already knew that not like it was a surprise for us, but yeah it was surprise for jack, but on the other hand, jack and kate made some history too, so i guess it evens out? |
