LOL, almost the same thing here :p
Me and my girlfriend caught up with the show at the end of the 3rd Season. I watched the first two seasons in less than two weeks with perfect timing to buy the S3 DVD set just as it was released. :D
I've been downloading new episodes just after they air every week for the past two seasons since there is no ABC here in Guatland :( |

This just came up on a Lost forum I write on and read from time to time. It's on a thread about Daniel being dead or not. It's ing brilliant, my mind was blown...lol.

Daniel writes everything down in it because he has trouble remembering things. He goes back to 1977 and takes it to the hostiles' camp and dies there. Now they have the notebook a la 'Gray's Sports Almanac'.
That is how Ellie and Charles know what is going to happen - they have the book.
And the last page in it says - Jack, Kate, & Hurley all come back to 1977.
So once Ellie helps them get back, she doesn't know anything else about what is going to happen.

I guess since they have the book they have knowledge to find the island and still send Oceanic 6 back there. Initially I don't think he is dead since Island can bring people back from dead. (ie Christian and John Locke)
If he dies then the law that 'what happened happened and past can't be changed" goes out the window. Thus far this has proven true, regardless of how hard they try to change it. (ie Daniel tells charlotte to don't come back to island)
(sorry finally watched this ep last night)
btw they have new episodes on ABC.com (no tienen abc.com en gua?):D |

I thought it was a good setup for next week and the last season.
The previews kinda gave away any notion of the people who we thought were getting off on the sub from actually getting off. (Trying to not completely give it away if you haven't seen it.) |

I don't see how Daniel getting killed destroys the notion of "Whatever Happened, Happened". As Daniel himself explained to Jack just before he got shot, this is their present (Daniel, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, etc.) so anything can happen to them as it hasn't happened yet. ;)
And Daniel IS dead. And no, ABC.com is not available to watch in Guate, I get my episodes from Ninjavideo.net |

so this illusive Jacob character might finally show itself or expose what might have been this 'wizard of oz' everyone has been so blindly following.
everyone that's dead (christian, ben's daughter, eco, yemi, walt, etc, etc) all seem to think john locke has this divine purpose that goes beyond any comprehension and regardless of what ben is trying to cook up with the other people i think we're about to see a pretty epic showdown between John and "jacob".
Perhaps John knows this island can cure so many people but is being horded by just a small few. |
