The Palestinians are now suffering for the strategic mistakes of Barak.
Unfortunately they beleive that Lebanon has set a precedent. The current Israeli operation's truest intent (imo) is to get the Gazans to understand this will be no Lebanon. |

I support Israel, and I accecpt that many Arab civilians have suffered due to the ongoing conflict but perhaps if you knew what it was like Yoepus to suffer at the hands of terriorism you would accecpt the defense of their nation. I wish you could see the reality of the situation.
Are you the type of North American who would support and fund the IRA to kill and murder because you sympathise with a people over another people. |

Well the mission is what I state above, to stop the Gazans from 'Lebanonifying' this conflict.
I agree with you it wasn't to stop tunnels (although that is defintely a long term goal).
The eleven soldiers repersented more than their lives to the Israelis. They repersented the desires of the Gazans to 'speed up' the political decession of the Israelis to withdraw from Gaza. And the current Israeli government will not stand for it. It will not allow Israel to encour another humiliating retreat on the back of a peaceful withdrawl. That is what this current conflict is Gaza is really all about.
As to mixinmusic, what are you talking about? I can't understand half your saying?:conf: |

just thought you should know that terrorist attacks are foiled almost daily. It is not as if the palestinians are sitting at home saying to themselves "oh Isreal has had enough, lets give them a break for a while". If every attack went through, the death toll of innocence in Isreal would be in the tens of thousands. |

| yes there are attacks on israel every day, its just that its a sniper shooting or a mortar bomb which dont take alot of lives and therefore arent reported in the news like suicide bombings. |

Do you know how many Palestinians try to stop the IDF from utilizing state terror? EVERYONE, becuase they have no army to do it.... and the sad part is, that EVERYDAY these state terrorist acts end up killing people. |

Came to comment out of boredom. Urban renewal in Palestine courtesy of Israel. Unless someone can rule the Palestinian mob with some kind of authority and stop attacking a country like Israel which will continually defeat them in retribution for random terrorist attacks, nothing will change. The UN needs to step in and put some order in the anarchy, but they're a buncha useless slobs who need to move their headquarters to Paris, France. Ok, not so bored now...

Im going to explain this to you once again for the millionth time.
How are the palestinians to quell this violence when the very people asking for it (namely israel) have destroyed the policing infrastructure, intelligence and dismantled almost all the organized force labour needed to calm this chaos down???
