Another thing, 9/11 happened because of the fact that the U.S supports Isreal. So thousands of Americans died in 9/11. Then we send the military over there. The jews in the U.S make up. 0.3% of American armed forces. Why should protestants and catholics be fighting your wars for you? |

| This is a follow-up to my previous post. Seriously, I want someone to give me a good answer to this question. The jews have been persecuted throught history, and they have been hated pretty much everywhere they go. So instead of bitching about anti-semitism, why don't they actually think about why everyone hates them? If everyone hated you, what would you do, keep behaving the same way that makes everyone hate you and then bitch about it, or change what you're doing so everyone didn't hate you? |

Listen to me you f*cking tool: Does an endless repeat of the same mistake justify it? Why don't the Blacks ask themselves why they've been hanged and their houses burned down for such a long time? Why don't native Americans think twice about the real reasons for their mass killings hundreds of years ago? And gay people: You'd better sit down and ponder how to become more popular in society!
By telling the victims to search for explanations for crimes commitegd against them you basically justify the crimes and turn the facts upside down. |

I agree with u..the term “anti-semitism” is nothing more than a catch phrase. It immediately makes everyone stand up and take notice. No matter what the offence was against a Jewish person. And maybe I m way off base by saying that it s becoming played out. I m just tired of them playing this card on the world stage and that they r the only known cultural group who can band together, state their cultural pride, promote segregation witin their ranks and label anyone that doesnt agree with their beliefs and actions as racist:rolleyes: |

oh man i swear thats the stupidest thing i've read all week..makes me wonder where the hell were u when god was giving away brains for ppl!
the "Blacks" arent hated by everyone..i dont even think they're hated by anyone except for racist pricks...lets not mention who started this whole "black" vs. "white" thing where it never existed anywhere in the world.
massive killings of native americans? wait was it the same ppl that hated the blacks again?..yet again not everyone hates native americans..
and gay ppl? dude wtf does that have to do with it? doesnt even make sense.
im not saying everybody hates the jews or justifying anything with or against them...im just asking u to think twice before replying to a rather good post by gmoney |

I think what he meant was why should Jewish people change the way they act because they have been persecuted through history? And he used the exaqmples of Blacks or Native Americans to show other groups that have been persecuted for no reason
The point is, Jews haven't done anything to deserve persecution, they just happened to be a convenient scapegoat for Europeans through the ages as they were the only minority group that lived there. It would have been the same if it were a different group.
And that is the answer to gmoney's post...
No Jews should not have to ask themselves why they got persecuted and see how they can change! I stated the reason above and I'm sure you will agree there is very little they could have done to change that is there? |

yes I know jews havent done anything to deserve persecution...but what Im saying is that the african americans and the natives arent still making a "big deal" out of it...if you more into it..almost all countries and religions have had terrible times in the past...if everyone keeps on complaining about their past then this is never gonna end.

Big deal eh?
Realize that the Jews faced the worst persecution ever known to have happened on the face of this earth (along with some other ethnicities). And realize it has happened less then 65 years ago (in one of the world's most modern society no less too!). Now realize that since this time anti-semitism has resurfaced again and again and other racisim still happens reoccuringly in this day and age this is not a "big deal". :rolleyes:
What so wrong with realizing history so we may learn of our mistakes and not repeat it? Would you not say this would be the wiser course of action than simply blame those we persecute? |

This is a silly conversation.
Neither side in this debate appears informed on the conditions of the situation (and/or neither side is willing to get down and dirty to the real facts of the matter), so you should probably just drop it. You're just trading flames at this point.
Some political topics probably shouldn't be discussed in polite company -- yes, even in a political forum. ;) :D

| Again I'm going to sound Anti-semetic but I don't give a . World War II sucked for everyone. My ancestry is from Poland and I know how many poles died. Alot of Russians also died. But guess what, we don't bitch about it. The Jews are going to spend the next 1000 years bitching about it, rather than change their behavior so people don't get pissed off at them again. Maybe people wouldn't be so anti-semetic if they stopped bitching about it and changed their behavior. |
