There is a difference between worse and important. The Holocaust was the worst (unless you count the people who died under Stalin - estimated at 20million - but I dont think that is considered genocide) |

thats why i asked is it the WORST because of the numbers? i would agree, obviously, that it would be the largest scale genocide, but whether this was WORSE than sebrenica or what happened in rawanda, not in my book, they were just as WORSE. |

Well that's your opinion. In my opinion to Holocaust was the worst case of genocide the human race has seen...

but i still believe that one persons suffering is just as bad as anothers it doesnt make it worse if more of his ilk were killed. |

| While I can certainly agree suffering was the same, the way in which the Holocaust was carried out sets it apart from the other examples for me. |

As a proportion of the people killed to the total population, the Armenian genocide of 1915 at the hands of the Turks was the worst genocide in recorded history. However, that's if you want to look only at cold-hard data.
Degree is in the eye of the beholder. Anyone closer to a particular tragedy is going to view it as being worse. |

i would totally agree with you, the way the genocide in bosnia was carried out, killing pregnant women opening them up and then killing the foetses, in my mind is worse than a gas chamber.
and like i said in my orginal post, there was no absolute WORST genocide it up to peoples perceptions. so if i said the holucast was NOT the worst incident in human history i am not an anti-semite!

And another thing. This goes back to my previous post. How come when the "Passion of the Christ" came out ,there was this hugh uproar in the jewish community that it was anti-semtic blah,blah,blah. But Steven Speilberg or whoever can pump out any piece of garbage about the jews and it will be hailed as a masterpiece.
Well guess what, by bitching about the Passion of the Chirist like you bitch about everything else, you created more attention to the movie and it has grossed like 500 million dollars. Good job ! |

Let me get this straight...you're complaining that Jews said the Passion of Christ was anti-semitic and not Schindler's List?!
Have you ever seen the Passion of Christ? I haven't and dont intend to but you obviously have so explain to me why it might be construed as anti-Semitic.
And another thing, do you actually have any views on the Israel/Palestine issue? Cos that is what this thread is about, not somewhere to let off steam about your feelings towards Jews in America...if you want to complain about Jews in America, feel free to start a new thread for that purpose.
When you first started complaining about the Jews, you did it in this thread which made me believe that you were talking about Israel and Palestine. Now it transpires your talking about Jews in america. Well Jew does not = Israeli. So either comment on Israel/Palestine or start a new thread if you have a problem with the Jews in America |
