You have got to be kidding me right???

that's hillarious...

I read everything you told me to read. It says nothing about pages being ranked according to reliability.

The pages are ranked according to whether or not the pages are sponsoring google, and also as to how popular the pages are.

I can type up a search for Australian news, and one of the first source's i'm gonna get is from the main media channels on TV. Now your gonan tell me that sources like FOX are reliable.

If google is so reliable, why is it that uni's fail you, if you use webpages you found on google in your assignment, regardless, of what rank it was on google...

Reliable sources are JOURNALS, which are peer reviewed, and refereed.

I'm sorry, news is made to be read, not to educate... It's a sad fact.

BTW!!!! YOU DID IT AGAIN!!!!, YOU JUST COPY PASTED GOOGLE!!!!! :haha:

there's a real nice saying...

it's called: when in doubt... Shutup.

Another nice one:

The best way to tell when someone doens't know what they're talking about, is when they don't know when to stop...

1 more:

THe first sign that someone knows their loosing in a debate, is anger and frustration, and loss of ability to support what they say

I'm sorry, I know it's stupid to just pull out random colloquial phrases to argue a point. I mean, look before you leap, but he who hesitates is lost.

My point is, FINE, argue your opinion and thoughts. But don't be cheap and grab somehting of google. News is plenty, and it's made to be read, not to educate. simple FACTS are OK. If your gonna use a news source, make sure you realise that it's biased. If your gonna use information from it, make sure it is something that is irrelevant to the stance of the news. Try to use unbiased, and unspectacular sources.

Sorry to say, but the more boring the news article, the more likely it is to be a bit more reliable...

For the record, i'm 100% neutral in this thread...

I'm not picking sides at all... I just thought to treat it like a debate, and just try to go on one side, and argue for it, regardless of how I feel.

I realise that was stupid, especially considering that there's so many ppl from regions like Israel and Palestine in TA, and that they can take offence.

Besides, ISraeli's are into Trance. ;)

Reliable sources are JOURNALS, which are peer reviewed, and refereed.

The reasons uni's might knock you down for using internet sources has nothing to do with the media but the source. I can assure you that internet sources are perfectly acceptable. For example, if you want to find information on the EU, do you go trawling through books or do you go to their website? You go to their website (which is exactly where the authors of books and journals go) as that is the primary source. Have you never seen a journal article that quotes from a web source? Newspapers (including CNN, BBC) are also perfectly acceptable as that is where you get the facts for your arguments. You just have to be careful when using the internet to see who has written it (but apart from that, many journals are only online)

So I say what is on everybody's mind and you want to ban me???

Piss off you ing Osama-Towel headed lover!

Go on supporting terrorists...I hope one day those animals come after you.

Spoken like a true Christian fundamentalist! Why do you think you are any different to bin Laden?

And this isn't the first time you have accused me of "supporting" terrorists is it?

What I suggest you do, is go away (or get your mum to ban you from the internet again so you dont have any distractions) and maybe do some background reading to this conflict that your Christian-Zionist beliefs dictate you take an interest in, and then we can have a proper debate over the issues that trouble you. How's that? Deal?

I didnt tell you to shutup, i would have no problem telling you to shutup or even stfu, but i didnt, i merely asked for your own opinions rather than offering advice to others, and i didnt realise it was a colloquial expression i used, news to me.

Some of your post is a bit of a ramble so i dont quite understand all the points you make, i presume they are directed at me.

Whats this about

and this

and one more

^^ btw i thought thats what you accused me off, useing fine sayings.

I get your general point but to say that not to believe any news source because they are all biased is obviously a ridiculious assertion to make, and then to go on and make the point that google is also unreliable as a source of information, i think this leaves you open to ridicule.

If people use unreliable sources for their arguements on this thread they are soon discredited as has happened over and over again, but like i said in the beginning to you, lets hear your arguements or point of view and lets see if it stands up to all the "cheap" souces that are used in this thread.

Hmm kinda hard to make an insult-retort to a smiley face.

Maybe this:

If that doesn't work, then let me just say, "your momma!"

One man's garbage is another man's treasure. There is no law guaranteeing the validity of any news source. Nor it's sources reliability.
There's a thing called commercial speech and it is not, I repeat, it is not guaranteed the same right as Constitutional free speech under the First Amendment.

So all your hoopin' and hollerin' about how unreliable google sources are is unwarranted, since commercial speech is unprotected speech.

The same way a site can "buy" it's rank, it can also "buy" it's reliability.

This is a thread on Palestine and Israel. Let stay on topic. If you want a google bashing thread then start one

There are Plenty of Factual arguments posted by me in this thread....none of them have anything to do with Christian-Zionism.

By supporting Palestinian, you are in fact supporting Terror...Palestinians are the ultimate Terrorists in our Planet...they have been doing it for years...but nobudy seems to give2 s since they are only killing "Jews".....if they were pulling that with Canada or USA, would be a lot different.
