Arab Girl Killed By Muslim Celebratory Gunfire, IDF Blamed
A 10-year-old Arab girl was killed Monday by celebratory gunfire as PA Arabs departed for their pilgrimage to Mecca. Her death was initially blamed on the IDF by PA and UN officials.
The girl was shot as she stood outside a UN-sponsored school in Rafiah, in Gaza. Suspicion surrounded the initial claims that the IDF was responsible for the girl's death due to the fact that no IDF activity had taken place anywhere near the school.
It was later revealed by the Ynet news agency that hundreds of shots had been fired into the air by Muslims celebrating the departure of friends and family on the Hajj, a once-in-a-lifetime visit to Islam's holy cities, Mecca and Medina - incumbent upon every Muslim.
The girl was killed when one of the bullets struck her in the head.

Today a ten-year-old girl named Nouran Iyad Dib was shot in the head and killed by an Israel sniper during recess at her school in Rafah. The bullet apparently came from an Israeli military post on the Gaza/Egypt border.
A UN spokesperson said this was the fifth time a Palestinian student has been shot by Israeli troops while attending school.
Palestinian police were deployed between the school and the military post at the time, and the area was calm. The Israeli gunfire crossed the Palestinian-policed area without provocation.
In a separate incident, a 63-year-old man on his way to the Abu Yusef an-Najar Hospital was shot dead by Israeli soldiers yesterday when he lost his way and ventured into a restricted zone near the Salah ad-Din gate on the Gaza/Egypt border.
According to Dr. Ali Musa, head of the Abu Yusef an-Najar Hospital in Rafah, the man bled to death after being struck by a heavy live bullet in his back.
Five days ago, a three-year-old girl was also shot in the head and killed by Israeli gunfire in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
All three deadly attacks directly violate the current bilateral ceasefire on which so many hopes are pinned.
1. the occupied Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank did not pick up arms for 28 years. I wasn't referring to the PLO. And I won't believe for a second that the PLO was the reason why Israel would not withdraw from the territories for 28 years. It was the excuse.
2. You did not back up your claim of the leaders told them to leave. A BBC monitor in 1948 of radio stations found that the leaders said if you leave, you're a traitor. So your myth is proven wrong. Besides, EVEN if they left because of their leaders, they should still be able to return. UN Resolution 194 calls on the return of the refugees. You're just afraid because Israel's Jewish character will cease to exist. Face it, that's where the excuses are coming from. And what about 1967? Even Israelis don't claim that the leaders told people to leave then. Gamal Abdul Nasser didn't tell anyone to leave. Why would they if it supposedly backfired in 1948?? Yet there were 400,000 refugees in 1967. So under your ed up logic, they should be allowed to return because no one told them leave.
The Islamic resistance groups are not stupid. They know they will have to make peace with Israel if Israel withdraws. And you can't eradicate them because the occupation created them in the first place and because everyone supports them. 30% of the Palestinian population is a part of them. You'll have to accept Hamas as the equivalent of the Israeli right wing Likud once there is a Palestinian state. Rockets and suicide attacks will stop because there won't be an occupation, people will not be suffering under a murderous apartheid rule. Face it, dip-.
I can damn right compare South Africa to Israel, it's the same all over again. Israeli Apartheid, Israeli state terror. The Apartheid Wall is even higher than the Berlin wall and confiscates up to 48% of the West Bank. Where is the Palestinian state supposed to be then?

Schools in Israel teach tolerance and love, that is not the case on the oher side...
