In any event, once the settlers are gone, the Palestinians may very well destroy the land that those settlers made fertile and productive. If that is your attitude, then let them. I'm sure you'll find a way to blame the Jews when the Palestinians harvest barren crops and turn the land into a graveyard. |

Yes, just by being there
You've probly never heard of the bypass roads but I'm sure you're aware of all the soldiers stationed in the occupied territories sent there to (unneccessarily) protect the settlers. As we are seeing in Iraq, occupying forces are not welcome and thats when trouble starts. If there were no settlements there would be no occupation and there would be a free Palestinian state where the Palestinians would have complete control over their own lives instead of the current situation where they are at the mercy of the Israelis

You mean like all the olive groves and orchids destroyed by Israel? I fail to see why the Palestinians would destroy fertile ground (and am even more at a loss to explain where you got that idea from in the first place)

i didnt know the settlers were oppressing other people?? with the suicide bombers and terrorist attacks going on sporadically. the native americans actually did go on mass genocide rampages of white people, and rading settlements and pioneers and shipments. but we suppressed them. and they have just given up and joined the USA. we are repaying them for what we did to them, and several reservations have huge casinos raking millions upon millions of dollars. this is a horrible comparisn u made.
you call me a fundamentalist, yet im not supporting the bombing of abortion clinics, or saying, take evolution out of the schools, niether am i saying, your an idiot because u disagree with my point of view. you believe in your opinion of the world just as much as i do, so lay off the crap personal insults and talk about what really matters. the topic. |

they are getting compensation. massive tax breaks that we cant even dream of. what more could they ask for? i will admit some reservations are dirt poor, and others are filthy rich, mostly depending on the location. but casinos are definatly their way of utilizing all the incentives they get from the gov't just for being a native. a casino's dream is to not have to pay taxes or pay very little of them. |
