UN administration
1947 Partition - 2 nations
Aftermath of the 1949 Armistice - Gaza to Egypt, West Bank to Jordan, Isreal the rest
1967 - Isreal takes the West Bank and Gaza
Oslo Agreements begin carving up a new nation.
From my research, Palestine was first created as an adminstrative district by the Ottomans. |
Palestine was created well before Orroman control.
When the Romans invaded they declared the land Philistine as a slap in the Jewish peoples face. The Philistines are mentioned in the Jewish Holy book numerous times as their sworn enemy.
Palestinians we're both Jews and Muslims... only after the British gave up control to the UN did the Jews more than willingly drop their most recent identity of 'Palestinian' (rightlyfully so), and continue forth with their biblical identity: Israel/Israeli.
Today, many so called "Palestinians" like to use this mix up in history to support their claim of having such rich roots in the holyland. |

I'll be reporting for duty in the holy land in just another few months. Considering i'm in a very high level combat unit, i'm usualy deployed right where all the action is.
I'll be sure do something that will catch the attention of the ever so willing, anti-israel news agencies to report on, just so i can see one of you post it here. It would be an honour! *excited*
Any suggestions?
perhaps try and set up friendly talks between the two peoples... no no, that wouldn't work... i'd probably get shot at and would have to chase the coward into a crownded building where the rest of his family will jump in front of his sorry ass.... then i'd have to knock the butt of my weapon in his mothers face for getting in my way and watch it gush blood for the french news agencies to capture and report on (and you could rest assured they will forget to mention the biaaaatchs kid just tried to kill me and she tried to stop me from arresting him). i'd finally find the ******.... drag him out by his nostrals (after of course giving him a nice off camara beating)... attach him to my buddies tank.... and drive off with him dragging behind while i piss off the tank on him. I'd probably let him keep his Hamas headband on - just gives me something to aim my piss on.

Here we have it, straight from the horses mouth. You should be ashamed of yourself for:
a) such actions.
b) undermining the efforts of peace loving Israelis and Palestinians.
And since St_Andrew put it so aptly before I got a chance to read your garbage:

MYTH
“The United Nations has demonstrated equal concern for the lives of Israelis and Palestinians.”
FACT
While the UN routinely adopts resolutions critical of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, it has never adopted a single resolution unequivocally condemning violence against Israeli citizens. One of the most dramatic examples of the institution’s double-standard came in 2003 when Israel offered a draft resolution in the General Assembly for the first time in 27 years.
The resolution called for the protection of Israeli children from terrorism, but it did not receive enough support from the members of the General Assembly to even come to a vote. Israel had introduced the resolution in response to the murder of dozens of Israeli children in terrorist attacks, and after a similar resolution had been adopted by a UN committee (later adopted by the full Assembly) calling for the protection of Palestinian children from “Israeli aggression.” Israel's ambassador withdrew the proposed draft after it became clear that members of the nonaligned movement were determined to revise it in such a way that it would have ultimately been critical of Israel. |

Reading all these posts, reminds me of a great old joke...
This guy lives a humble and proper life, dies prematurely and goes to heaven.
G-d says to him: "Sorry, there was a little screw up and you showed up too early. To make up for it, we'll send you back and even grant you a wish. Now, what would you like?"
The man said: "Well, Lord, I've always wanted to go to Hawaii with my wife but I'm afraid to fly. Do you think you can build a highway between Israel and Hawaii?".
G-d thought for a second and replied: "It would be impossible to do that using existing engineering methods. Please pick something else."
The man frowns but then his face changes to smile: 'Well, Lord, I guess that wish is out of the question. Though I have a wish that's most dear to me: I've always wished for the end of violence and eternal peace betwen Israelis and Arabs."
G-d frowns for a second and then smiles and replies: "Hey, great news - I can make your wish come true! But I just need to know: would you want that highway to be two or four lanes each way?"

Soon it will be a slow suffering life for him. Minor strokes mean larger and more severe ones to come. I still cant fathom how such a grotesque fat man didnt suffer from a heart attack before. Oh well... strokes are worse :) |

More expansion and destruction, the further implementation of the Zionist Agenda:

Israel to build new settler homes
Israel has announced plans to build 228 new homes in Jewish settlements in the West Bank, just outside Jerusalem.
The move appears to breach commitments by Israel to freeze settlement activity in occupied territory, under the US-backed "road map" peace plan.
A spokesman said the building would take place in settlements - Beitar Illit and Efrat - that Israel intends to keep under any peace deal.
Palestinian officials condemned the move and urged the US to intervene.
The news emerged when the Israeli housing ministry placed a newspaper advertisement on Monday inviting tenders to build 150 housing units in Beitar Illit and another 78 in Efrat.
The two communities are part of the Gush Etzion settlement bloc - part of the territory Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has vowed to keep under any final accord with the Palestinians.
"These are the large settlement blocs, they will be strengthened," Mr Sharon's spokesman said on Monday.
'Undermines peace'
The US has called on Israel to cease settlement building - though President George Bush has said Israel could expect to keep some settlements under any final peace deal.
Palestinians have demanded the whole West Bank as part of a Palestinian state, along with the Gaza Strip.
"The Israeli government has suspended negotiations, contacts and the peace process. The only thing that is still allowed to go on is the settlement activities. This undermines the peace process," chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told Reuters.
Israel says the Palestinians have also failed to meet their obligations under the road map, to disarm militant groups.
The settlement plans came even as Mr Sharon's new party, Kadima, outlined its platform for March's election, indicating it would be willing to concede West Bank land as part of a deal with the Palestinians.
However, with elections imminent, boosting settlements could also be popular with Israeli voters, says the BBC's Dan Damon in Jerusalem. |

Israeli missiles slam into Gaza
At least two Israeli missiles hit areas in the Gaza Strip a day after Israel promised to enforce a new buffer zone against militant rockets.
There were no immediate reports of casualties after one missile exploded in Gaza City and a second hit a Fatah party office in the north of the strip.
Palestinians said the missiles were fired by helicopter and that a third had landed harmlessly in a field.
On Monday, a Palestinian rocket exploded near an Israeli kindergarten.
The Qassam rocket caused no injuries but went off as children were attending a Hanukkah party at a kibbutz south of Sderot, and a second rocket also fell harmlessly south of the city of Ashkelon.
Israeli artillery opened fire in response to the attack.
Confirming its missile strikes early on Tuesday, the Israeli military said it had targeted buildings used by the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades group to recruit members and hold meetings.
Israel has come under frequent rocket fire since it left Gaza in September.
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon authorised air strikes against Gaza to enforce the no-go zone but recent bad weather limited activity by the Israeli air force. |
