That's very unfortunate. But what do you expect from ppl who've been forcefully displaced from their homes and lands, while the foreighn occupier continues to expand its boundries. Not to mention the horrible conditions they're forced to live under.
This is a very sad, but like this will continue to happen as long as the occupation continues.
EDIT: To put it simply, injustice perpetuates injustice. Eigther Israelis(not all, but enough) don't care about the fact that they're taking over someones else's homes and land or they refuse to acknowledge it. How can there be peace when the situation is such? |

Escobar, I'm interested in knowing how Israeli press covers different stories and what viewpoint is presented there. Could you recommend some respected publication (that I can find online), like the Israeli version of the New York times or something? Infact, it would be cool if you could list a few.
EDIT: Something with an English translation ofcourse.:p |

Dozens of rockets fired into Israel....in one day, more then 80 have fallen.
Any other country would have considered this an act of war...still Israel keeps her cool and gives the Dirty Palestinians "Another Chance".
ing terrorists! |
So killing three unarmed kids (no matter what their reasons for being in the no-go area were) is completely justified? |

well i dont think your edward said arguments are much better then any of those from alan dershowitz . just wondering if you've even read a case for israel ? |
I have only read little bits of it but I only need to read the contents to see why it is flawed. He basically goes through eash 'topic' and giving the Israeli version of events. But by leaving out anything negative about what Israel has done (which you will be the first to admit is a lot!) he tries to portray the Palestinians as the absolute problem. I get confused between Bard's and Dershowitz's cos essentially they are identicle but in one of them the Chapter is "Sometimes Israel shoots unarmed protestors" which I laugh about everytime I think about it! He says summat like..."Well, yes, but! but! sometimes the protestors throw stones and sometimes they really really hurt!" Every chapter in those two books are straw men (in fact half of them aren't even "myths" they just made em up so they can get a particular point across) They even go out of their way to show when America has not supported Israel, and try and use that to give the impression America doesn't help at all! Anyone with half a Brain can see what they are doing and they fail miserably. |

Since the killing of three Palestinian youths by Israel Defense Forces troops on Saturday, Palestinian militants have fired some 80 mortar rounds at Gaza Strip settlements, damaging several houses. |

What the hell do you expect as a response?
(Note: I'm not trying to justify eigther attack here)
Israel provokes the Palestinian militants to commit such acts. |

Add that to those fundamentalist terrorists (Kahane) and their sympathisers trying to incite violence in Gaza by protesting at the Temple Mount and I think it is gonna be pretty obvious where the blame lies when violence does flair up
Question to the Jewish people here...
What are your views on that group who has decided to re-establish the Sanhedrin? Offended? Insulted? Excited at the prospect of meeting your Messiah?! (I would be too if I missed the last one :D ;) ) |
