"not because they want Israel destroyed as you were impying."
I was talking about the Palestinians, not Hamas.
And my bad for saying that they were the "only" group fighting back for them. Thank you for correcting me there. But you know what I meant. |

Again, you're talking about terrorist groups that DO NOT IN ABSOLUTE TERMS represent the will of the palestinian ppl. It only represents a MINORITY. So stop generalizing that to the entire population (or even most of them). Most palestinians want peace and freedom. But, at the same time, they're not going to put up with the injustices and humiliation they suffer at the hacds of the Israeli's. |
I never said it was the will of the palestinian people, don't put words into my mouth.
I stated that if the attacks continue after israel and the palestinian people make an official peace then it really isn't peace. They said they will attack regardless of peace.
I have no doubt the vast majority of palestinians want peace as it benefits them in that they will have their jobs back and poverty will decrease and israel wants peace because the palestinian people were a large part of its own economy as well.
Well it is a tit for tat game, they suffer injustice because of what the tiny minority of their population does to the israelis. The tiny majority of the palestinians (the militants) really aren't fighting for the palestinian people, if they were then they would stop attacking because peace is on the table, there is no need to keep fighting. Gaza will happen soon and if there is calm then I believe that the west bank will be next. The israelis aren't going to pack up and leave in a week, it takes time.
And regarding Sharon, well Sharon is the only one offering peace with the Palestinians, remove him and hope is lost as most of the cabinet don't agree with him, hell he even had to dismiss his own party to get approval on moving forward with leaving from Gaza. |

" There is abundant evidence that war crimes and crimes against humanity were committed on a wide scale in the Sabra and Shatilla massacre, but to date, not a single individual has been brought to justice. President Bush should urge Prime Minister Sharon to cooperate with any investigation. "

How can you expect Israel to agree to all the demands when everyone knows that the palestinian leaders have absolutely no control over the terrorists. |

Israel bombs Palestinian Authority's police HQ
07 December 2001 07:30
Israeli warplanes have bombed the Palestinian Authority's main police headquarters in Gaza City. Reports say that 18 people were injured in the attack, which reduced two four-storey buildings to rubble.
The raid marked the end of a two-day pause in the Israeli air campaign against Palestinian security targets in response to recent suicide bombings in Israel, in which 25 people were killed. |

| there was something very simialr that happened not to long ago this year I believe but i cant find a link to that rightnow. Point being, Israeli actions are assuring that Palestinians leaders will have a harder time controlling terrorist groups. |

I'm pretty sure these terrorists have had the same ideas since 1948, its not like Israel's recent actions are fueling their hate. They've wanted Israel gone ever since it was established (hence the war of '48). |
