That's a very poor anology. The natives of Austria are Austrians. Majority of Israelis are not, they're post WW2 immigrants (something you need to keep in mind).
EDIT: And the reason why I mention that is assuming that what you say is correct about their restrictive immigration laws (I'm not saying your info is wrong there), if they wish to remain ethnicly/culturaly homogenous and not be very accepting, that's their decision as they've lived on there for ages, the Israelis haven't. |

Israel doesn't only let in White Jews...
Its sad how you guys are trying to make an issue out of a non-existant issue just to justify your opinions since you are too damn egotistical and full of yourselves to actually mold your opinions based on fact.:(
Israel is no more racist (and I'd argue less) than the Palestinian Authority, Iran, Iraq, Saudia, Yemen, Egypt, Switzerland, Pakistan, India, China, Japan, Sudan, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, France, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden.... I could go on and on... |

I was born in Israel, my parents were born there. The majority are indeed born there. Although there was an influx of about 1-1.5 million Jews from Russia and Africa during the 1980s and 1990s.
The majority of Palestinians were not born in 'Palestine' either.
Most Palestinians immigrated to Israel when the Jews came as the Jews brought with them an economy, jobs, and a higher standard of living.
edit:
Today and historically the Arabs living in Israel enjoy the highest standard of living amongst all Arabs in the middle east. |

You know what I was referring to Youepus, don't twist things around. The Israeli's haven't been in Israel for generations. The Austrians have been in Austria for God knows how long. |

Yes I know what you meant. Look at my second comment. The same thing can be said about the Palestinians.
There population doubled and tripled when the new wave of Jews came in from 1890s - 1940s. This is not natrual growth, this is because Arabs from surronding areas such as Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon came due to the new growth fueled by Jewish brains and education.
Also notable there was always a sizeable Jewish population in Palestine dating back thousands of years. You can not say the same about the Palestinians, which only existed as an ethnic group since the 1960s.

Where did I condone racism?:wtf: My point was that if Austria has resctrictve immigration laws cuz they want to be left alone, we (outsiders) can't force them to change that. Like I said earlier, they (Austrians) have been there forever (figuratively speaking). |

What am I your secretary?
Go search for it. I thought they taught you how to do your own research over the god-knows-how-many years you've been studying in a university.
;)
Summary is:
If you are Jewish and can prove it you can become a citizen.
Otherwise policy is similar to that of the USA (immigration based on merti) except that Israel also has a immigration policy that allows a lot of uneducated guest workers into the country (i.e. similar to Switzerland). |

Our of all arguments, yours seems to be the stupidest I've heard to date. You say: The longer a population is residing in a certain area, the more restrictive their immigration policy can be? The more rights they have? Funny. A little community of Jews has been living in 'Palestine' thoughout 3000 years. Or is it now the size that also plays a role?
How many people should live for how many years in a certain country for them to be allowed to be selective towards immigrants? |
