There's just no satisfaction in auditing a spreadsheet downloaded from a payment gateway just to make sure your prematurely rolled out, proprietary computer program didn't double charge the customer because your programmers are too ing lazy to allocate memory. Your method of handling checks, being a boggy morning nightmare rivaling the combined French and American entanglement in Vietnam, notwithstanding, am I to derive some form of job satisfaction when I come home and announce that I just prevented five customers from having to request a chargeback from their credit-card company which would convince you that I was an excellent hiring decision. That's a pretty ing pathetic existence, if you ask me, and there are much better things to be thinking about than the self-aggrandizing fantasy of AR rock-star at AAA Corrugated. My five year plan? Wake up, come to work, drink coffee, make sure my job is done at the end of the day, go home, get stoned, work on music, go to sleep, lather, rinse, repeat."

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Stren. I've had that happen to me and it's an awful feeling.

Yeah, yeah. That doesn't excuse ripping off other people, especially when those people are probably in the same rut you are.

Do you know how much money I'll get for his 40GB X-Box 360 Lite without a power-supply at the pawn-shop? . I was doing him a favor. :p
We actually had our 1991 Dodge Deathtrap 9000 Minivan broken into a while back because one of our doors wouldn't lock. These idiots were driving around from parking lot to parking lot looking for unlocked doors and taking anything they perceived to be of value. They were caught when someone out on their balcony called the police who nabbed them as they were leaving and we had a police officer come to the door, then next day.
They probably took ten dollars worth of goods - and that would be when the stuff was new. It was a very old, portable CD player, a tape-cassette adapter and a digital tire-pressure gauge from Radio-Shack and a couple of other items which were probably going into the garbage, anyway. Honestly, the bank has taken more of our money holding a student loan check for five days so they could let us over-draft our bank-card than these s took and I have a hard time distinguishing between who's worse. At least our car was a little cleaner because its thieves have poor taste.
My girlfriend and I talked about this, at length, to include the point that you raised. She grew up a little closer to the poverty line than I did and isn't surprised that poor people tend towards predation of their own class. It's stupid but reveals a seemingly innate savagery that any class of people is capable of. But, yes, I have to agree with you. Ripping off people in the same boat your in is awful.

No, I am totally with you there- theft comes in many forms, and wears many masks, some flimsy, some bolted on tight with the might of litigious second competence.
The guy who lives across the hall from my apartment got his wheels stolen right off his car a few weeks back; That's ing with somebody's livelihood, somebody's life. He was probably just as poor as the thieves, and now his ability to go to work and earn things honestly is now compromised. They couldn't have gone down the street a few more miles and stolen from some fucker who has his Porsche SUV parked out front of his house with full coverage insurance, no, they had to steal from the unsecured apartment complex where they could increase their chances of getting away with it, of course. And a few months back my own car was broken into at work, of all places, and my $500 insurance deductible did me no good considering the damages were in the $450 range, of course. I don't make much as it is, so that really ed with me for a while. I don't really have a point to make anymore, it's just ty we live in a country/world where people feel like they have no opportunity but to steal the paltry of others, and more so, the fact that sometimes they might just be right.
