| I always think of him when I read the word reiki. True story. |

A few of his tunes were actually really good. But his output was highly uneven, and his mixing usually sucked. |
I remember only a few really good ideas that got trounced in the execution. You've been around longer than I have though and may well have had more patience to sit and listen to him.
EDIT: Reviewing your link, now. |

| FADING: I had to turn my speakers down just because, when those highs come in, they really come in but... I have to admit this is actually really good. Don't get me wrong. It's mixed horribly, but if that were fixed, this would be something I could listen to repeatedly. |

| Yeah, like I said, ignore the lack of all mixing polish and just listen to some of those melodies and synth sounds. :p |

The second one started off nicely enough then gets downright challenging to listen to and his switches push that limit of what's acceptable, but that's part of the charm, too. I have to admit, I've never heard these longer songs. I was hear when he was shrinking his time-span - or maybe I just didn't have the patience for them. Regardless, I'm actually glad to be having this conversation.
Really reminds me of the experimental/improvisational vibe (Plastikman comes to mind) a lot of songs I've heard have managed to capture. Truthfully, kind of pissing me off that he was such a lunatic that he couldn't be bothered to polish these up. Even his outros are interesting to listen to.
By the time I'm on the third one I'm convinced he's insane, something of a genius, and suffering from profound hearing loss. Still glad to have heard him with your ears but kind of pissed, all the same. Brilliant ideas obscured by his own pathology.

Yeah, I always thought he has more raw talent than 90% of the people I have seen roll through the production forum, but it is seriously hampered by his highly questionable mixing and complete lack of organization and follow-through.
He had this other song called "neckcramp" or something that sounded like some kind of cross between shoegaze, trance, and house. It was crazy and awesome. Wish I still had that one.
[Edit: here is my review of that track back when he posted it. His original post got deleted when he did, I guess.] |

:stongue: Yeah. For threatening to sue, among other things. He was convinced that, by contacting DeWayne "The Rock" Johnson's lawyers he could nail TA for copyright infringement when the content from one of his posts was C & P'd into a dialogue spoof of Race to Witch Mountain, if I'm not mistaken. |
