So a coworker of mine is massively into twitter and pretty much any other form of social media that exists. As a result, my facebook news feed is constantly flooded with the most retarded I've ever seen that this guy is constantly posting on Facebook through Twitter. So I decided to post "tweet" on his wall about 50 times in a row, and he has disabled the wall feature on his facebook account (confirmed by another coworker). :D god I love messing with social media fags.
He's also a black guy, and ends every facebook post with #realtalk. |

Got two days of "official" work under my belt. The corporate software development environment is a bit overwhelming. Lots of stuff to get caught up with and everything before I can really start contributing.
Seems like it's going to be good though, I'm really liking the job environment. :) |

It's actually not directly mobile apps, like I mentioned before. Currently, we're beginning the design and groundwork for a web-based system that lets small-scale retailers manage inventory and keep up with sales in terms of what customers purchase. It kinda piggy-backs on their current point of sale software, but what we intend to do is scale down that really complicated system to allow smaller businesses to access it via a web-based service. Basically so it's cheaper and we can gain more of a footprint within that market.
I'm specifically digging into HTML5 in order to mockup the front end of that, and start styling the thing according to the direction they currently want to go in.
It's really early on in the development cycle for this specific system though, so it's a lot of buzzwords and speculation. I'm mostly spending a lot of time going through older projects and stuff to get more acquainted with the companies products and stuff. |
