Yeah, I got that too a few years ago. It was great, and I love vegetables. Now I eat the same way, but just have a big, huge steak on the side. Or in a cone. Or on a stick. :o
Actually, I'm full Paleo lately, it's awesome. I have so much energy just from the food I eat. the only downside is that I can't sleep in on the weekends - I wake up just humming to do something. I temper this malady with hours upon hours of Skyrim. |

Been a vegetarian for 11 years because I'm meat-intolerant... god damn body  |

| Oh man, meat is great. Steak, spinach, tomato, onion, and asparagus omelet. I could go for one of those right now. D: |

see i used to be a full-on meat enthusiast. i ate racehorse, zebra, ostrich, alligator, lamb, veal... everything basically.
i feel kind of dumb about this whole thing because i can't really rationalize it on ethical grounds. i feel like the only way to be an 'ethical' vegetarian is veganism based on consensuality, but i'm worried about my health too, and for me vegetarianism is like a middle ground where I can still enjoy some of the animal products I love (eggs and cheese!!) without necessarily eating the flesh of an animal of the world. It's like a balancing act of a.) what I can palate, b.) what's ethical as far as treatment of animals, c.) what's a healthy and natural human diet, not to mention d.) what makes me happy In this regard I could never see this as a black and white issue.
Even with the be-all-end-all of veganism, there are still ethical questions to ponder, as far as health and agriculture and environment go. |

all i can say is that after barely eating meat and having access to all kinds of great vegetarian food and supportive friends and family, eating meat just kind of seemed pointless to me, and also it's gotten to the point where the smell of cooked meat just makes me gag and wonder why I ever ate it. All this happened relatively quickly and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it and adjust. It was as if one day I woke up and a switch flipped in me. |
You are a very sick person. Yes, I do believe being vegetarian is a mental disease. Seems like it's contagious, too, from what you tell. |

| Best salmon ever - marinate it in maple syrup, fresh garlic, a tablespoon or so each of dijon mustard and balasamic vinegar, salt + pepper to taste, and then put it under the broiler for 6-7 minutes. SO GOOD. |

I don't have half of those things at my ty apartment, and it's snowing like outside, so I'll just have to settle for salt, red pepper, and hot sauce, lol. :(
Besides, I don't think Paleo man had vinegar. |
