Lol. Speaking of conference calls, my clinical course director for my practicum is so goddamn lazy. She's supposed to visit us on site AT LEAST twice during rotation, and she's only seen each of us once. She conducted all of our midterm reviews over the telephone via conference call with us/our preceptors, and didn't even provide her own feedback!! She pretty much just read bits out of each of our praxis notes. At the end of the call she said "Congratulations, you passed your midterm!" NO IN ?!
God. |

Speaking of lazy people who don't do their jobs...
My bf teaches a class of 8 behavioural students (involved in gangs, been to jail, dealt drugs, etc.) and the program tries to get them back on the right path. Well there is this one kid who was only there for bringing a knife to school - didn't threaten anyone with it, gets good grades, does not have problems with authority - it was just a one-time mistake and he got caught. He took complete responsibility for his actions and did all his community service without complaints.
So he was only supposed to be in the program for a month before he was allowed back in his regular school. The ing social worker who is supposed to monitor these kids and plan their programs does ALL. My boyfriend makes their IEPs and writes up reports, all she has to do is ok them. She's supposed to be at the school twice a week - she didn't show up once for 3 months.
Now the deadline has passed for this kid to return to his normal school and he is not able to go back until next September. All because this whore bitch didn't sign a paper that my boyfriend faxed to her 4 times. The kid has to stay in a program at least 10 times beneath his educational level because she blew off her responsibilities and didn't sign a paper. |

| that is , but couldn't your bf have maybe gone to the school & showed the paper and explained the situation? Sadly there are too many people who earn money for doing nothing. |

I agree, but isn't part of your bf's job to advocate for these kids? You'd better believe if I was working with some head who wasn't getting things done in a timely manner, that I would take things into my own hands and rectify it somehow.
I dunno, I just can't see how all the blame is on the social worker here. |

He wasn't aware of the deadlines at all because planning their education beyond the program he works for is so far out of the parameters of his job. He tried to anyway.
On top of lesson plans, dealing with these kids' parents, counselling them, trying to be their friend as well as their teacher, he had taken on a bunch of the social worker's responsibilities. Trying to get this kid back in his regular school was one of them. He contacted the other school and was told that these were the social worker's responsibilities - he told them that she had not been present at the school in a long time, and I'm pretty sure the school liaison just kept saying "they would look into it" and that "they were taking care of it". So yeah - it wasn't just the social worker, but this problem sure as stemmed from her laziness. |

| Ahhh, well that changes things for sure. I hate incompetence. There are so many useless people on this planet. |

Trying to fill out this OkCupid profile... I don't know how the to do online dating. "What is the first thing people notice about you?" I have no idea! I don't even realize people notice.
I'm stared at this thing for two hours and can't figure out a thing to say. |
