It has never been philosophy's charge to move mountains, though, like religion - and inseparable with religion, mind you - it has been the fuel that unifies men to do so. science is philosophy which relates to the physical world, also a type of philosophy is used to rationalise and implement any construction, and so it most likely did play a part in the pyramids |

all the philosophies that actually have a point and are useful go by another name, ie political science.
I have no idea why you’re bothering to discuss this with me given my earlier statement…Perhaps you’re too busy contemplating the true meaning and metaphysical existence of my words, rather than just understanding their existence as defined by the dictionary of reality? |

I know you're joking, as you probably remember Plato, Hobbes and Marx and how they contributed to your field before your field existed. However, because there seems to be some problems with the argumentation here, and philosophy and science have loads to one and teach to one another, here's a small graph because I can't be arsed to make an argument tonight... Only if you believe him to be serious. Personally I see the Republic as more of a criticism of idealism and the like than a serious idea he wished to have implemented. |
