No offence taken - my friends are usually our age (you're in your late twenties too, aren't you?), though I'm often at odds with them for these reasons.
I think the difference here could be cultural: I usually think it doesn't play too big a role in social relations but I reckon I think a lot more like you guys than like the people I'm surrounded by. |

Seriously though, we're often afraid to make up words because they're not in the dictionary, but the dictionary is just a compilation of popular words, not a law that states what can('t) be said. |
