i really hate my cable company. i don't like that even on the high-def channels there are certain things not in high-def and so they don't take up the full screen. those black bars on the left/right side of the screen annoy me.
what's even more stupid is when they're in wide screen, but don't fill in the entire wide screen (like there's black bars on the top/bottom and left/right. |
It's Hollywood's fault--not the cable company's.

Everyone does. Your options are:
-stretch (fills the screen with no bars, but warps the image)
-zoom (fills the screen with no bars, but chops off part of the image)
-normal (black bars, but you're seeing everything w/o a fun-house effect)
Marantz, Pioneer, and a few others have a mode that stretches the edges, but leaves the middle untouched, so it fills the screen without much noticeable difference. idk if yours does it. |

They sorta sound the same. I bet Drake would say they even rhyme.
I hope the binding on your fancy book peels off, and the recipient curses you. Haiti curses. None of that 'oh, fiddlesticks' malarkey. Yeah! . |

Watching these nutters on the news camping on the steps of the opera house for NYE fireworks, I'd say its probably about 30 out there and getting warmer, be amusing to find out how many are dead before night fall :p
I just climb on the roof later to get a good view, depending on how inebriated I am its probably just as dangerous :o |
in freaks :stongue:
glad melbourne doesn't have quite as many tourist attractions, so the streets stay a little less cluttered..
only thing i can think of off-hand is the myer christmas windows, which attracts a pathetic amount of people.. not sure there's camping though :p
