| How so? I didn't think enjoying a good breakfast was a culturally specific thing. :p |

It's just because I've never heard that here. Actually, I didn't have eat breakfast (apart from the occasional glass of milk) until my dietician told me I was probably being too Brazilian regarding my eating habits. But first, let's talk about yours...
I'm just guessing here, but I reckon this may be related to the industrial revolution in England where you needed to eat as much as you could before you went to work. It's always a bit of a cultural shock for us here in South America (or in Brazil, at least) when we hear in American sitcoms people saying that "the breakfast is the most important meal of the day" or something of that sort.
Here we think that lunch is the most important meal of the day and it's the meal that gets the most attention. After all, that's when we indulge our gluttony. I go back to my parents' house every Sunday so I can have lunch with them - and if I fail to show up, drama ensues. Though I hate this sort of parallel, there's a reason why breakfast here is just called "Morning Coffee" - you drink some coffee and away you go, you're well rested anyway. And there's this odd belief that if you eat at night, you get fat :p
(By the way, in case you're wondering, I'm a dinner person... oh, Lira, ever the nonconformist :D) |

Well americans have their time for breakfast. Over here the working day starts at 7am, sometimes sooner which usually means being out of the house and on their way to work by 6 at the latest. Who can be bothered with preparing a big breakfast or even eating for that matter at 5 am.
And since i like drinking im a luch person, since a nice lunch is a perfect excuse for a nice glass of wine (as if one ever needs an excuse for a glass of wine)

I definitely wouldn't be signing off on your probation period unless you somehow managed to peddle more drugs than Pablo Escobar in short order! |
Too bad for them I've managed to contain my abrasiveness in a work environment. They don't know what's coming :disbelief

This explains the Gold Coast trip. |
Nah, getting drugs interstate is a piece of cake.
Going to Malaysia at the start of this year though, totally different story...

Nope, not even a audi loving, soulless 4WD driving, living in the land of fosters croat such as your self can get me in a foul mood today :p |
Heeeeeeeey, it's more of an SUV than a 4WD :nervous:
Also....Oh hey Nou, I'm glad you liked it - especially since, of all people here, you're the last one whose interest and/or attention I care about. |

I can assure you, that's more belief than practice. The reality is that most North Americans, myself included, aren't going to drag themselves out of bed earlier just to create time to eat breakfast. |
