Incase the world is about to end, I've decided to start digging an underground lair. It'll be so underground that even dubfire won't make guestlist.

i've made it to the upper mantle and found a few skeletons from dubfires closet so far. I believe I found the other guy from deep dish, but he wasn't really deep enough down.

Am I the only person that doesn't see any need to donate to Japan relief efforts? They don't need money, they're not some 3rd world country. They need people, experts that can actually help with something physical.

qft. I don't think any amount of money will make a difference to them right now, but experts in different fields will.

I feel different.
The country itself has gone through decades of recession and has one of the largest deficit/GDP ratios before the crisis. More importantly, I doubt the individuals who lost their homes and family members have insurance to cover the costs. These areas had a large elderly population. I can only imagine how it feels to be retired and lose everything you worked your entire life for.
I thought someone who lives in an earthquake zone would have more sympathy.

experts work for free now?? :wtf: :wtf:
either way, billions of dollars of damage has been done, does it really matter if they have a slightly better economy than other places?
Do you think things come for free? or Japan has limitless supplies? Especially when everybody's saying how negatively this will effect their economy... I don't understand how you think donation is useless... :conf:
edit: The money isn't being donated to the state, its being donated to individuals. Japan's state has/had a good economy, that doesn't mean the entire nation, the 10s of thousands of people who are now without homes and money do...

Guys, guys. When Katrina hit New Orleans, everything was fine, because the US is an extremely wealthy country. It just wasn't a big deal, and the torrent of foreign aid was completely unecessary.
