Went for a walk around the inner city and Southbank today to check out the flood damage. Pretty hardcore :wtf: Stinky mud everywhere. It started to make me feel sick after a while. Met a bunch of other photographers though, was a pretty cool day.

It hit further up north in Queensland first, then we got it here in Brisbane. After us, northern New South Wales was hammered with the floods, and now they're getting ed over down in Victoria as well :( |

so basically it just rained a lot up north and then all the water flowed down the river(s) to the south? i don't realy know the terrain of the area, i thought australia was pretty flat :wtf:

Sort of like that up north. The flooding in Brisbane was mostly caused by tons of rain inland from us, where our dam catchment areas are. The issue was that it's been raining HEAPS for the last few months, so our dams were already full by the time all this rain arrived, and they had to dump a load of water from them into the Brisbane river. This was coupled with king tides (the Brisbane river is tidal) so the water had nowhere to go. Except up!
The southern floods are different rains than we got, I think, and it's not a river flow thing either.
So far in Brisbane there are 17 deaths from the flooding. |

yeah by the actual mouth/delta of it....not in the middle. but then again i guess brisbane is on the coast. so yeah, my geography of that area isn't up to speeed lol. |

Wow, my dreams fail at sex ed forever!
Sometime in my dream today, and for no reason at all, my tiniest friend and I started to get frisky and - one thing leading to another - she thought it was a good idea to "have a fun" as bots would put it, kink it out upside down (mind her small size, she's really portable) and 69 the day away. Though this is embarrassing enough to share (and I was feeling guilty the whole time in my dream, for obvious reasons), the reason why I decided to share this is because of how I got busted.

Well you see, Lira, the subconscious human mind often associates green and black with sickness and death because at a very primal level, many foods we might eat that turn green or black would be marked for suspicion of mold or rot. It's a generally effective defense mechanism, albeit a relic from before refridgeration technology.
