No, I'm with ya, it's a really unique experience that I would find interesting were I not uncontrollably afflicted by it thusfar. :p
But the anxiety and fainting is very real, so yeah, hopefully I can get some meds for that- at least something to look forward to in my day besides alcohol (always a bad choice, especially over a long period of time), as bad as that sounds hahaha.
But yeah, "Ohhh, my leg hurts, ohhhh *cough* cough*" :p |

Hi enydo. It does suck. At least you're not having seizures as well. I have an EEG next week. :s |
What is it like to have a seizure? I mean, the experience. How do you experience it as you're having the spasms? I've never seen a person have one, let alone experience anything similar. I imagine the body takes a life of its own much like when you shiver, though it's obviously a lot more powerful than this puny sort of reflex. |

Well I can only speak to my own experience, of course, but suffice to say it's like nothing you've ever felt before. The actual seizure you don't remember, it hardly seems like any time has slipped by at all, even though they can last for several minutes. It's hard to imagine yourself clutching at your chest with wrists bent inward, eyes rolled into the back of your head, your whole body convulsing as your mouth foams- I'd have to say that witnessing one is far more frightening than actually having one, really. So thankfully, the last few I've had, I was completely alone. Or not so thankfully, because trying to piece together what happened afterward is a chore, much less where/when you are.
Like I mentioned, I get an aura before I have a seizure or near-seizure episode. Anyone who has chronic migraines probably has some notion as to how this feels, at least in the beginning. But soon everything looks and feels crisply wrong, like staring at the sun for too long, I begin to have the photo hallucinations I mentioned before, and really, the light is quite something to be in awe of. I know that sounds absolutely ing kooky, but there is very little I can do to adequately describe it. It's like when somebody yells your name nearby, and that instant you are compelled to look their way, to see for what and who it is beckoning your attention- it is that exact feeling, condensed into a flickering light above your eye, and stretched over what seems like an eternal moment; it turns your head against your will, and my eyes only slightly twitch before I wake up in a position some minutes later with bruises and spit on the ground. One particularly brutal instance felt like something had a firm grasp of my head and was trying to twist it straight off - I'm not making a hyperbole, it felt exactly like that, like something was forcing me to stare to my left side, to stare directly at a light I can never focus upon.
I'd say it's a distinctly spiritual experience, if ever there was such a thing. |

i've had 2 seizures...you don't remember anything. You start feeling sweaty, disoriented, and then you just kind of wake up with people around you all confused.
The worst one was in college. During basketball practice i got my finger bent backwards by a hard pass (which really ing sucks in itself). I was getting my finger frozen in the physical therapy room, and i woke up with firemen asking me what year it was. The worst part was that i pissed myself in front of everyone in the room. It bothered me more than them i am sure, they were all friends and teammates that understood...i suppose you just don't feel right when you lose control of yourself like that.
I got every test imaginable, and at the end of the day the only medical explanation that they were able to give that it could have been caused by some serious concussions i had gotten playing hockey and basketball (which left me with a slight tremor in my hands that i still have today...nothing major, but annoying when it acts up while you are eating soup.) Luckily i have not had anything happen like that since, other than the occasional bout of dizziness here and there. Good luck to my favourite Hanson brother.
Endyo, i feel ya man, all i can say is tha until you see a doctor...the more you feel like shutting yourself off from people and staying inside, the more you should do the exact opposite of what you feel. It can seem hard, but force yourself...it will help. Stay away from any drugs and alcohol as well. If you get out there and stay busy, you will see that it will help some, even if it is only taking a walk for an hour.
Don't listen to dubstep either:p |

:stongue: I just got the best mental image of my having a seizure with the long hair I used to have. I'd look like one of those fake plastic trees that had long outlived its novelty. |

| you know, if i were depressed, but rich, i would become an opiate addict. doctors got people eating all these SSRI's and ing with their brain chemistry, but you give a guy a few oxy's every day and, so long as he never runs out, he'll always at least have a decent day. |
