You're right, 24 years is a tad unfair. |

hardest thing about going through stuff like this is having close friends who pick up on something being off, and yet not being able to even understand how it feels if they've never had any experience with it.
ugh, plebeians. |

Hi enydo. It does suck. At least you're not having seizures as well. I have an EEG next week. :s |
and same to you too, had no idea you were going through that. one of my best friends has a seizure disorder that they haven't found a cause for; he's been told from different opinions numerous things ranging from brain tumors to swelling in the brain to epilepsy. has to take a handful of pills every day and his seizures are totally in check, but because of that i've only seen him have 1 and he's had only 2 or 3 since knowing him. hoping for the best for you too. |

Yeah, I hadn't had one (that I knew of) for some years... but it's a really odd incident when I feel that specific aura coming on. I always see a light above my left eye that I can never stare directly at, it flashes, slow at first, then gets faster and faster until it feels as strong as staring at the sun, as though it's going to swallow me. At some point, I cannot refrain from looking at it, no matter how calm I try to keep myself, and then my memory just takes a dump and I forget the entire day. One of these times I'll probably just not come back, but I can't say that it hurts or anything- it just feels kind of uniquely numb.
I've had numerous CAT-scans, MRIs and EEGs in the past, and they could never locate any abnormalities, though I suspect it's because they were never able to reproduce the episode. It's just awesome. |

wow man, that's fascinating. not in the condescending poking-dead-things-with-a-stick-type of fascination, but the mind is.. nuts. well i hope for your sake that it's something controllable and not life-threatening.
hey, on the bright side, maybe you can get hooked up with some badass pharmies though. valiums? tell them you're in pain maybe and get some oxy's or something.
..don't take my advice :p |
