| quote: | The svelte new smartphone sports a dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera capable of 1080p video recording, and 4G LTE support. The RAZR's massive 4.3" Super AMOLED touchscreen looks dazzling, and is encased in Gorilla Glass for added protection. The device is splash resistant, with Motorola promising that even the phone's internals are meant to survive a bit of water.
One of the biggest selling points of the original RAZR was its thin form factor. The Droid RAZR continues that trend, measuring a laughably-narrow 7.1mm — making it the world's thinnest smartphone. By comparison, the recently-released Droid Bionic measures 10.9mm, and the iPhone 4S checks in at 9.3mm. The back of the new phone is made of woven Kevlar, in case it ever gets caught in a Hollywood-style shootout. It will run Android version 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. |
Sounds pretty awesome to me. |

| I've had an HTC Desire for about a year now, so I'm probably not due for an upgrade for a while, now that I think about it. Meh, it's more than good enough for what I need, anyway. |

I want to get one for this conversation.
"My new phone has an HD camera, dual core processor blahblahblah, what does yours do?"
"Stop bullets." |

Yeah I totally didn't need to upgrade, but I bought my last phone outright so I was already eligible for an upgrade. I mean, I updated the firmware on my other phone so it's running Gingerbread now too. But the new camera + processor I just couldn't turn away from. It actually is noticeably more fast/smooth. Oh and 4G too.
I'm gonna give my old one to my bf though, so he can finally join the technologically advanced. He still uses a piece of old clamshell with T9 texting, lmao. :stongue: :stongue: |

Nah, I know what you mean. I look forward to upgrading at some point in the next year, just because I like cool gadgets :p |

Yeah, I was talking with my gf today about when I'm going to buy my new car. And, as an experienced buyer herself, she gave me the advice to shop around and be open to going with something I like instead of love, if the deal is right. And I get that, but I told her the one thing I'm unwilling to compromise on is the technology, lol. I want the fully loaded car with all the in GPS and bluetooth and whatever the else..and I know I'm not likely to get that outside of more than a couple years old.
edit: Not to mention a car is NOT an investment. Anything I buy I view as throwing money down the tubes, so w/e. |

| Nerds have better chances these days. Although I am not sure if the trend quite extends to guys who wear a Power Glove to class. |
